Hi MotionApe, i am thinking about buying this but i have two important questions: In a further version will there be a chance not to zoom out through space? Maybe you want only one location of a forest out above the trees and panning to another location of the same forest and zooming in again to the next videofile? And second the most important: What are the rules of the downloaded Google and Bing Images ? I don´t want to pay for a illegal use of google maps images – how did you solve that?

It takes 10-15 minutes for 10 locations.
So I think I have an error, it have been freezed like 20 minutes just in one location (i choose 3 ) Do you know what can it be?

I deactivated the firewall and the problem continues
The first image works, it downloads correctly, but not the otrer ones
Actually I deactivated the whole antivirus and just the first image loads
I think after effects freeze after that first download… I can use after efects if i close the “preparing map” window but just the first image is loded

Hello, two things I would like to clarify:
1.) When i create a new project, the coordinates from a different project I created previously are the coordinates set in the newly created project. Is this by default or am I doing something wrong?
2.) Every time I generate new coordinates, the image results display a screen with text that reads “Sorry no imagery here”. Keep in mind, it displays the location of the coordinates. But at zoom in, the “Sorry no imagery” view is seen more often than the actual zoom in to the earth. This has been occurring more frequent the past two weeks. When I first started generating coordinates, I didn’t run into this issue at all. To test this, I generated coordinates from areas I had success with previously without the “Sorry no imagery here” text. When downloading, it started occurring. Is there a fix to this?

In every search I make, this screen pops up a decent amount. So once the image loading is complete, this displays in the zoom
2. These were the last coordinates I worked with: 36.26315,-112.70840
I then try to generate new coordinates from a different location, and it doesn’t replace the previous coordinates added. I zooms into the first location I added. Is there a way to clear out the coordinates I don’t want or do I have to start a new project?
I can generate map images for the coordinate “36.26315,-112.70840”. Did you get the message “Sorry no imagery” for this coordinate?
You can simply update the new location from the “Coordinates” composition.
I did…..if you take a look at the images I sent you, I sent screen shots that show the image frame by frame as you zoom into the earth. Perhaps I can keep trying, but this has been consistent

I am adding 3 coordinates then click “Download Map Images”. I get this error: “Cant find comp ‘Coordinates’ , action abort”. How to solve this issue?

I can open main template first. But now I have new issue: In Adobe After Effects (CS6), when I go to Windows > Map Image Generator.jsxbin I am getting: “After Effects Warning: Failed to Create Script Panel”
I tested in version Ultimate Earth Zoom Toolkit v3.4 and version Ultimate Earth Zoom Toolkit v3.2 and both give this error.
How to solve this issue?
Hi, I use CS6 as well. Most of the scripts give this error. I think there is a bug in CS6 version. 1- Open the main template. 2- Run the script. If you get an error message. Click OK button. 3- Run the script again. Probably it will work this time.
Thanks for tips. Now I am able to generate a map image. I started rendering but it shows “Estimated rendering time: 10 hours”. How to decrease this time?
Render time depends essentially on your CPU, and the amount of RAM. Here are my suggestions to reduce rendering time:
1- Make sure that the “Optimize Scene” option is enabled. http://bit.ly/2uVF4yu
2- Use the regular version, not particular version.
3- Try to disabling motion blur. http://bit.ly/2fPMCAa
4- If you’re using any footages to display in a media holder, this encoding prosses may increase the rendering time.

Thanks for the clarification. I always used regular version. In my last testing, I was able to complete rendering in about 4 hours with three locations and no audio.
Not a problem. As I said it depends on your CPU power and the amount of RAM. I rendered the whole preview video less than 1.5 hours on my computer.
Hmm, possibly there is some improvement to do in my setup. My computer is CPU: Intel® Core™i7-6700HQ CPU @2.60 GHz 2.59 GHz RAM: 16,00 GB. So, based on your comment my rendering should be less than 4 hours
Can you tell me your “Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously” option is enabled or not? You can find it in the Memory & Multiprocessing preferences window.
Yes, it is enabled and the RAM allocation per background CPU is 3GB
Maybe you can try to disable it.

Hi, Sorry for the late response. It seems that the map download app is forbidden to read or write files. If you have an antivirus software, try to add “MapGenerator.exe” to the white list.

Why is the real map on google.com different from generated in after effects? Looks like an old satellite photo. Can I fix it? The object on which I do the zoom (race track) does not exist in your photos
Hi, there is no option to generate different images. But if you change the map source you will get a different result.
You should warn buyers that you are not using current maps, only old ones. I had to generate pictures and find the right composition for them. Second source (Bing) is even worse.
Hi, I’m trying to add new/Different Co-ordinates and it keeps going to the same Co-ordinates I entered previously. I’‘l even pic a completely new city and it stays on the old co-ordinates. Also, can you adjust the final map position? sometimes, the map layout isn’t where I need it to be, it’s too low or too high or too left or right. Sometimes the zoom is too close and sometimes too far. Is there another setting or work around that can help with making your map location fit perfectly in frame? thx
It seems I cant get the Map to be centered and positioned where I want to Zoom in to happen.
Hi, You should select the point carefully where you want to zoom-in. Then you can’t change the position of the location but you can the zoom-in level from the “Scene Settings”.
Hello, I was curious if I could do the following: Say I add one coordinate in Arizona’s Grand Canyon. Is it possible to preview the earth rotating for a certain time, then zoom in to the specified location rather than zoom past the satellite? In other words, is there a work around to the intro where I don’t have to show the satellite. Thank you in advance

Hello, I have installed the scripts and the Map Image Generator Shows up in the AE Window. (I am on a Mac running AE CC 14.2.1.34) I added in my API Key as well as my purchase code. When I tap “Register”, I receive an error that reads “There is a new update, please update the template to continue”. When I tap “Update” it takes me back to the original location where I downloaded the most up to date template. I downloaded again just to be sure and I have the same issue happen. How do I get the most up to date version so I can start using the template?

Hi, for the next update, it would be nice that you could make more zoom levels, now there are 8, but in google maps, where the tool downloads de image maps from, a larger zoom in can be done with good resolution in a huge number of places, so could it be possible to add more zoom in levels in the tool?
