1-Is it adobe cc 2018 compatible 2-How is this better than 3d photo motion pro

Yes of course VoluMax is compatible with cc2018 and future versions. I don’t think Photo Motion is bad, you can have good 3d results with it but if you want to go farther and get an impressive 3d effect in your pictures and human portraits then go for VoluMax Pro. The approach is very different between two templates and of course I think VoluMax is more accurate, but don’t forget that I am the creator of VoluMax Pro :)

How does the rendering speed at 4k as compare with other 3D parallex animator?

Hello. Well the answer isn’t simple. It depends a lot of the hardware you use and number of effects you will apply (Depth of field for example slows down the export time). VoluMax Pro is super optimized to get things working the fastest possible but in 4K all projects in After Effects are very slow to export. The official video preview of VoluMax was done in 1080P with very fast export times.

I just did a benchmark for you on my Intel Core i7 at 4.2ghz + GTX 780 ti . On a heavy scene, 4 seconds VoluMax Composition with 3d object, particles, Parallax + Displacement and Flares:

1920×1080 = 1”31 min / 4K Résolution = 8”55 min / With realtime viewport workflow in 1/4 resolution

I cannot compare results with other 3d animators because I don’t use them, in my point of view VoluMax Pro will give you the best 3D effect with fast optimized worflow and export times.

Of course if you use flat basic layer effects in After Effects it will be much faster but you cannot compare with the “real” 3D impression you will have in VoluMax Pro. I hope I answered to your question.

4K export times with any template on Videohive can be veryyyy long even on high end computers… Just to warn you. :)

I love the video.. iam very intrested to buy this product. Im AE beginer. Can i use this product easily? Please help me. Can i use this for single project or multiple projects of After effects? Please reply soon.

Hello and thanks for your interest ! It depends what you mean by beginner :) if you never used After Effects before you should learn the basics at least. You have to know how to use the program before using any template on videohive.

If you begin in AE and know how the program works then VoluMax will be okay for you ! There is a complete video formation included and even tips to learn new stuff in AE like Puppet Tool and more…

My advice is to use Photoshop to create the displace maps needed by VoluMax, After Effects is not the best choice for painting but it’s possible if you have nothing else.

With regular license you will be able to you use Volumax on any computer you want, but it will be your personal version and you will be the only one authorized to use it.

The Envato licensing terms are a bit confusing for Toolkits. You can use VoluMax for as many pictures you want – all with just one licence. If you are creating these pictures only for personal use (not selling them, youtube channel for example) you can just get the regular licence and 1 license = 1 person. Now if you want to sell your work and make profit you should normally buy the extended license and you can use it for any futur client.

If you have any other question feel free to ask, you can also contact me directly by using email on my profile page.

All the best, Gaëtan

hola quiero comprar su producto pero quiero saber si los videos tienen la posibilidad de ser traducidos como en youtube por que mi ingles es malo. gracias

No I am sorry the video tutorials included are only in English audio. No subtitles. :/ But I show everything step by step.

Bonjour @Cream-Motion, je fais régulièrement des animations avec des visuels de sandwich que je reçois en PNG. Ton plug-in me permettra t’il de les animer en donnant des effets de rotation ?

Before buying VoluMax, I’d love to know if the layer/precomp created with the 3D Portrait Tool is 3D camera aware. I am looking to use it in conjunction with Mettle for 360 stereo video. Thanks!

Dang, I was hoping to point 2 offset cameras at the face to get a stereo 3D image. I thought your code may be generating a camera-aware displacement map on a plane, or something similar. Thanks for the reply. Great looking tool regardless!

If your code IS generating a displacement map… is that precomp accessible so that I can render it by itself as a flat black and white image? If so, I could import the rendered displacement map and and use with FreeForm to displace a plane in 3d space. I know this isn’t necessarily a proper use of your tool, but it would help achieve my goal.

Yes of course you can visualize and export a black and white displacement map created with the 3d Portrait tool included in VoluMax Pro.

WOW! THIS IS WHAT AE WAS MADE FOR! IT’S LIKE SENDING A DRONE INTO A PHOTO FOR EXTRAORDINARY FOOTAGE NOT PREVIOUSLY POSSIBLE! SUPPORT IS JUST AS EXTRAORDINARY! A TRUE LEADER ON VIDEOHIVE!!!

Hello, I am very surprised and sad reading your message, I also tought there was a good basis for friendship here :( I am going to try to explain what’s happening.

We exchanged 28 mails since 9 september because you “loved” VoluMax but had difficulties painting the black and white depth map. And there is no problem with that, I am always glad helping customers and they can testify.

I think there is a huge misunderstanding here, maybe my english isn’t good enough. In my last mail I told you I couldn’t help you anymore on that specific subject because I had a lot of work yesterday and because I told you everything I know on painting a B&W depth map! I even gave you 250Mb of personnal files so you can see how I work on VoluMax. I never closed the support and will never do that to a customer !

Many of your questions were related to photoshop or After Effects, not VoluMax. The template can be used by beginners but any template out there will be difficult to use if you never used After Effects before. It’s an advice if you want to use other templates on Envato. Talking about other templates, you can try parrallax slideshows and you will get nice results but keep in mind that there will be no specific 3d effect on your picture, only the same repeted effect on each scene.

About the Photoshop Easy Paint Tool, I told you to create a depth map by an other way because you didn’t have the right version of photoshop to use it (needs CC) and thats why it didn’t work. You can get nice results without using it, that’s all I was saying.

An other point I do not agree is that I never asked you to write a review ! You writed it by your own in the comment section just a few lines upper. I told you there is a place for that on videohive. Here are my words : “I am very pleased to see how much you like the product ! If you really want to support my work you can make a review of VoluMax. Its very important for authors…”

I hope you will reconsider your feelings about VoluMax and our exchanges. You were very close to having nice results, you just needed a bit more practice with the Adobe tools.

All the best. Gaëtan.

Dear Gaetan and Everyone, I would like to apologise to you all for my negative comments on the update above. At the time I was new to AE and PS and couldn’t follow/understand what was in the tutorials and became very frustrated as I was under pressure for a funeral tribute video to my beloved sister who passed tragically with cancer. Since then I have learnt the basics of AE and reaslised that if I too that you have to put some work into this yourself and not just expect it to be an automated template as I assumed back then. I downloaded the update and like all of you have been blown away with the new features and how even a newbie like me can produce studio like results in a very short time. What once took all day for me to work out I can now click thru while having a cup of coffee and it’s done. And this tech breakthru is a collective result of course of many things but most importantly here it’s Gaetan’s kindness and patience with me that brought me back as the huge fan I wanted to be, but my own frustration/limits held me back. So please Gaetan accept my apology and know I’m so very greatful you hung in there for me because folks that’s the proof of a genuinely good professional. I marvel at his progress and wish him every accolade for all his hard work in the future and I’ll be a keen follower again as I go back to my tribute video collection once more with all the updated features. You can’t put a price on this sort of wonderment and appreciation I have for his work. Take care and much love and respect from your fans in Australia!

I was really surprised this morning to see an answer of you 3 years later! Positively surprised and glad to have news about you.

-> Apologies accepted ! Thank you so much for the kind words and honest feedback of the last updated. Keep the good work.

All the best, Gaëtan // Cream-Motion

can run in cc2017?

Yes of course, VoluMax is compatible with cc2017.

Thanks for your purchase ;)

Hello, thanks for putting together such a comprehensive tool. I’m running on a Macbook Pro (mid 14) and I was wondering if it’s possible to disable (delete) all extra effects from the file to speed things up? Basically only keeping the 3d photo tool?

Hello and thanks for your purchase !

If you use VoluMax in default mode like it is at opening you already have the fastest optimized speed. Unused effects like particles, Lens Effects, Flares, Fog… will not slow down the workflow. After effects is pretty smart with that.

To work in realtime like in video preview you have to change your viewport resolution factor (1/4 Quarter is good for example) https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/previewing/_jcr_content/main-pars/image_4.img.png/resolution-factor.png

And of course the better is your CPU, the faster it will work. And of course export in 1080p h264 like in tutorial instead of 4K if not needed, it will be 4x times faster !

We need another new amazing product from you like this in future because everyone having a ball with it!

Hello Zeinab. I am actually working on a template / collection, it’s achieved at 75% and should be out before the end of the year ;)

Thank you. but this is too far!

Great rig. Very well thought out and executed. I’m having a ball with this.

Hello and thank you for your purchase! Always glad to hear that! If you want you can review the template in your download section. That’s always helpful for authors ;)

Hello, I am very interested by Volumax. But I would like to know if it works with pictures larger than 4k? Like 10000×3000 px for exemple? Thanks.

Hello and thanks for your interest. VoluMax is dedicated to video and animation and 4K resolution is already a high standard. It’s the maximum output resolution, sorry.

It’s too bad, but thank you for the speed of your answer!

De rien ;)

Hello there, I got one question before buying. Since I work with two computers (one at home for homeoffice and one at work) I was wondering if it is possible to use/install VoluMax on both pc’s. Both PC’s use the same Adobe CC licence.

That would be it :)

Hi and thank you for your interest. With regular license you will be able to you use it on any computer you want, but it will be your personal version and you will be the only one authorized to use it.

If you have any other question feel free to ask.

Have fun ! Gaëtan

hey, i guess it works in AE cc17 right?

oh, the comment above me explains everything :)

Yes everything works great in CC2017

I would like to have a refund. I am using cc17 and your product keeps crashing. The instructions are terrible. I made a mistake buying this program.

VoluMax is fully compatible with cc2017 and you are the first person saying the instructions are terrible…! (Check reviews) There is no install to do, VoluMax is a template, not a plugin or software, please check included video tutorials explaining simple steps to use it . If AE crashes this means you have a problem with your version of AE or your driver’s / hardware, VoluMax cannot make AE crash because it is 100% AE.

If you need further support please contact me by mail using this page : https://videohive.net/user/cream-motion

This is very amazing product, I want to buy it, but is it possible to buy the after effects project promo that appears in videohive as well?

Hello and thanks for your interest. I am sorry but the package doesn’t include the sources for preview. Please contact me by mail for more Infos… (https://videohive.net/user/cream-motion)

Hi Cream-Motion, what a fantastic looking template. I’m probably being a bit silly….. I’m in Photoshop CC 2017 and following your tutorial on Masking. When I’ve got the White or Gray layers selected (separately) and I’m creating my mask with the Lasso tool, for some reason when I go to fill the layer no color (gray, white etc) is showing up. The selected area just stays empty. Any advice would be very much appreciated. I’ve followed all your steps of adding the EASY PAINT Action. I’m working in the EASY PAIN TOOL in Photoshop. Even if I try to use the paint brush tool, no colour will show up on the actual working area. What I can see, is in the layers panel on the thumbnails the image changing (hope that makes sense). Many thanks and all the best,

Hello and thank you for your purchase. There is no silly question ! You have to select the mask before painting (small rectangle on the right of layer thumbnail) and then paint with white using brush or lasso tool. I hope this helped ! ;)

That work perfectly. Many thanks for your help and fast reply. I super appreciate it! :-)

Glad to hear that ! Have fun.

Hello sir do I need any plugins for this toolkit ?

Hello, no plugins are required, you just need After Effects. Photoshop is recommended but not needed to make VoluMax work.

I bought Volumax 3D some months ago and Im happy about it. However. I have one question. I need to make a 3d animation from a vertical image. 1920px high by 1080px is this possible?

Hello and thank you for your purchase and feedback. Yes of course, it’s possible. Video tutorials included will show you how to proceed. There is a special vertical composition for export and a checkbox to show the vertical zone.

I’m starting working on Volumax 3D and I have to say that is really awesome. Great customizations. I only need one info: there’s a chance to switch all the main comp to Full HD from the beginning. I’m working on a 1080 project and 4K drain a lot of PC resources and it takes a very long while to render. In any case – great job

Hello and thank you for your purchase ! Volumax is in 4k but that does’t impact viewport or export speed with the right settings, everything is optimized to go the fastest possible and After effects is very smart with HD pictures nowadays. The advantage working with 4K compositions here is to get extra detail and sharpness in the 3D Effects without loosing speed. To work in realtime like in video preview you have to change your viewport resolution factor (1/4 Quarter is good for example to get realtime) https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/previewing/_jcr_content/main-pars/image_4.img.png/resolution-factor.png Keep in mind that some effects like Depth of Field / Particules / Flares slow down the process. Always export at the resolution you need to get it to work fast. Example : Adobe Media Encoder – H264 – 1080p (1920×1080) Take a look to Tutorial n°01 and n°10 included in VoluMax if needed.

I hope this helped you. Have Fun.
