were are the text layers? I can modify the text but I don’t see where to change the duration of text on screen and how to modify the effects on the text

Open Placeholder composition and turn off layer hiding. You will see all text layers. It is shown in the video tutorial (“Add and Sync Footage.mp4” at 4:40)
To change the duration of any text just change the length of the text layer.
To change effect select any text layer and press F3 to open Effect Controls panel.

Hello, I can’t use this template as it’s using the same demo layer all throughout the video, any chance of making using this template easier as everyother template i’ve used? All I want is a promo video of a concert, using different clips

There are several ways to customize:
1. Replace the demo layers with your footage(clips), as shown in the video tutorial
2. Turn off the demo layers and just add your video footages(clips) to the Placeholder composition. You can make the duration of your footage as you want.
3. You can make a single music video (synchronize all your footages(clips) with your music) in any editing program, then just add this music video to the Sequence composition. Effects will be added automatically or you can customize the appearance of effects manually using keyframes.

The structure of my template is a little unusual, but it allows you to quickly and flexibly customize the template.
If I make a lot of different placeholders, then you’ll have to open each placeholder and add your video footages(clips). This will be a longer process, and it will be difficult for you to control the length of your footages(clips), because each placeholder will have a different duration. And it will also be more difficult to synchronize with your music.
So I think the traditional structure is less convenient for my template!
But if you want, of course, I can modify my template for you. I’ll make a lot of separate placeholders instead of demo layers.

This project(template) is synchronized to specific music, as in the preview. If you want to use other music you need to sync your music with your video yourself. You can use any program for video editing (adobe after effects, adobe premiere, sony vegas, etc.) After that, you must add your music video (I mean a video file with music) to the placeholder.
Various interference (glitch effects and distortion) will be added automatically randomly. You can quickly and easily change number of glitch effects. Also, you can add or remove glitch effects using keyframes.

Hi, can the placeholders be easily increased and added as I might need more? Can the transitions be adjusted easily as my video clips are much longer compared to the ones shown in your preview.
You can adjust the duration of video footage as you like. You can duplicate layers and replace with another video. There are no restrictions.

Hi Tim… When I use the command + option + / shortcut to replace demo layers, the in point is automatically set for the beginning. How do I make it continuous like in the tutorial video. I didn’t see you perform any additional steps.

So you choose an episode from your video.This is convenient if you have a lot of video files of different duration.
If you have a continuous video file, then just put it in the placeholder, as shown in another video tutorial – Adjust Interference(Glitches and Distortions).mp4

Select the layer “Adjust the amount of Interference” and press F3(open/close Effect Controls panel)

Is this set up for users to re-sync the transitions with other music tracks?
Hello,
If you use other music, then you need to sync your video with rhythm of your music. This can be done in any video editing program. And then add the final video to the project.
Glitch effects (interference) are generated automatically, you can set any frequency and probability of occurrence (also glitches can be set in manual mode, using keyframes).

Sounds easy enough! It looks like each “scene” is its own composition, so I suppose I could just lengthen/shorten the comps to match the beat of my music, and finalize in Premiere Pro, right?
Each scene is an empty demo layer!!! You can replace any demo layer to your video. Select your video, then select any demo layer and press:
CTRL + ALT + / (on a PC) or CMD + Option + / (on a MAC).
If you have a long video, then you can replace a group of layers at once.
It is easier and faster! You don’t need to open each individual placeholder(composition) and drag your video every time!
You can watch my video tutorial before buying the template.
But if you want to sync your video with other music, then I recommend another way.
Usually I synchronize my video with any music in Adobe Premiere (it’s easier than in After Efefcts) then I just select all layers – copy and paste in After Effects (Placeholder composition) to add text and glitch effects.
P.S. As I said, if necessary I can synchronize with your music.
