Just had to restart After Effects and it took. However, the mapping download won’t go. At first, it went to 13% then froze. Now it won’t go past 0% (This is on a 60mbps connection after 1 hour). Any ideas?

Hi, is it possible to start with a lower zoom level than space level? or, for example, going to one location to another wihout going to space level in between?Just imagine you want to go from one city in France to another city in UK, but not going to space level first but only moving across the europe map from France to UK. Could it be possible at least if the answer is NO to move from one to another with a lower zoom level instead space level in between? Thanks
Hi, no you can’t. You have to zoom out space level before zooming into another location.

Ello! I am using CC 2017 on PC and after opening and converting the Toolkit file I can’t seem to find the “map image generator” anywhere.

So far 6 hours of rendering time and still need two more hours. That is NOT normal. I’m rendering in QuickTime. Is there a secret to make the rendering process a bit faster? I have to do this 4 more times 
Hi, rendering time depends on your computer power and the duration of the animation. Have you watched the rendering tutorial?
I did watch it and followed the instructions. My computer is a GTX980ti in SLI, 64gb of ram and my CPU is i7-3970x. The video is 4 minutes so it has the 10 coordinates and I’m using the one without plugins. I have after effects cc so I dont have the multiple frames option. Does the codec need to be “animation”?
You have a powerful computer. It wasn’t supposed to take that long. This can be caused by many things. Here are my suggestions.
1- Make sure that the “Optimize Scene” option is enabled. http://bit.ly/2uVF4yu
2- Use the regular version, not particular version.
3- Try to disabling motion blur. http://bit.ly/2fPMCAa
4- If you’re using any footages to display in a media holder, this encoding prosses may increase the rendering time.
I always render in animation codec, but some people claim that ProRes is the fastest.
I will try to check the optimize scene for the next render as I have 3 more to do. Is that going to affect the way the final product looks?

First of all, this project file has helped me alot creating what i want, how ever i can’t seem to change to colors of the boxes, for example in the intro, the video opens with a red box expanding, i cannot chance the color of this red box, i tried changing it in the contents but it doesn’t work. could you please help me with this issue?
Hi, you can change the colors by using expression controls. Please check out the “03 Editing Intro and Outro” video tutorial.
Thanks alot! but i have come across a diffrent problem, i have used this project about 5 times now, but this times it seems to work a little diffrent, i have downloaded the project again and i does not work like it used to. for example: The tutorials do not match what is actually in the project, as i am watching the map generating video i discover that there is not such a “Location 1 Location 3 etc.” window and i cannot get the zoom images like i used to. Can you please tell me how it works now? cause the tutorial does not tell me.

I am trying to register the script and receive this error “The network connection is broken, please check”. This is a script alert. Please help, I am using V3.3 downloaded today.
Hi, you get this error message when the script can’t access the internet. There could be several reasons. Have you tried http connection option? Do you have any anti-virus software? Are you on a company network?
The computer is running Win 10 Pro and has Defender installed which i have disabled. Have also tried http and am not on a company network. am able to access the internet at all times other than with the script

It seems like the program only loads one of the maps !! The download window says: downloading 1 of 4 maps, and when it reaches the end of the first map, the window shuts down ! When i render the timeline i see a working start and the first map… but the next maps are not downloaded. Grtz, Luc

After copying the images, you can go on with the template. You won’t need the script anymore. We will investigate the problem. If you need to generate more map images, please let me know.

I tried to setup two new maps, and i’m right… it’s downloading 1of 2 maps untill zoom levels and when it needs to get the maps from the second location the window closes down and stops ! I’m on Mac with OSX Yosemite version 10.10.5 and i’m using AE version CC2017 i really hope you’ll find what is wrong because i really like this template of you ! Kind regards, Luc

Hi, we tested the script on all Mac and After Effects versions. It works well on every version. This could be an issue with your computer. I am going to ask my programmer about it but he will need more details. Can try to generate map images and capture your screen?

I offer a temporary solution for you until we find a permanent solution to the issue. Just let me know which coordinates do you want to zoom-in. I will generate the map images and send you a link to download them, so you can replace them with the default map images. You won’t need the script anymore. You can go on working with the template.
Can you please check that the “MapGenerator.app” is installed at the right path and you set the correct security option?

Hi, BG elements rotate with the map. If you want them still, you must put them into Overlay Elements compositions.

Yes, it is a correct format.
In order to understand what causes this problem, I will need some information from you. Then I will contact my programmer to investigate the problem. This may take a while. To prevent any delay, I can generate the map images for you. You copy those images to your project folder and go on with the template.

Probably the firewall blocks the connection and the script can’t get the map images. The only solution is disabling the firewall temporarily or creating a rule for the script folder.
The only thing that I can support for this problem is that to generate map images for you? Just let me know which coordinates do you want to zoom-in. I will you send you a link to download the map images, so you can replace them with the default map images. You won’t need the script anymore after having these images.
