I had the same issue as the other users before where the text is appearing dark. I emailed Maxim about it, but I never got a reply… so I was troubleshooting the problem myself and apparently, the Environment images (default.png and default_blurred.png) were not linked correctly. Maybe it is because my materials folder location is different than Maxim’s? Anyway, I had to select each 3D Element in the timeline, open up the Scene Setup, click the Environment button at the top, take note of the filename (either default.png or default_blurred.png), click the file dropdown to select “Load from file”, find the location of the file on your computer (in my case, it was in the V1_Environment folder, along with all the other packaged Video Copilot materials), and then exit the Scene Setup with OK buttons. Repeat with all the 3D Element text items in the timeline. It is tedious work, and I was wondering if there was a way to change it globally with just 1 click… but until someone posts how to do that, I hope this can help those users who are having the same trouble. Hi Maxim, much appreciated for the reply! I tried with 2 different PCs running AECC2017 and AECC2018, both with Element x64 2.2.0 (2100). I found nothing technically wrong with this template… actually, it is absolutely fantastic, just like all the other projects that I have purchased from you before and would definitely recommend to anyone considering to buy this! It is just that some people who had/has the same problem with dark looking text in this specific project might want to try relinking the 3D Element environment map PNGs as I had explained above. Thank you very much for your great work! I am looking forward to seeing your next brilliant artistry

I think I’ve found the issue – The environment applied to the element text is called default_blurred.png – but this is missing from the project. Could you please send me the environment file?
Scratch that – the issue is definitely with the environment textures. Have you used non-standard environments? Other text is appearing dark and incorrect too.

Hi! You need to use element 3d 2.2 to work with this project! I use 2.2.2 And its work fine! Try to update your element 3d plugin to last version! Project works fine on my element v 2.2.2!

Hmm this template created with element 3d v2.2 , not uses any textures, i’m not understand where is problem( Are you use after effect 2017 or 2015 ?
