Has this been updated for CC2017? I downloaded it and it seems to have the assets in the wrong place.
Try to move project to simple location like a c:\ and reopen it! Project work fine with cc2017

is it possible to use logos instead of text?

i was able to replace some of the text with logos using auto trace on the logo layer and then setting a custom path layer in E3D – only problem is that some of the logos have a lot of space between letters. How do I adjust the kerning of the 3D element?
You need to adjust Displace or Scatter parameter in multi object option of element 3d Group 1 or 2
