great program but the instructions move a little fast in the tutorial, very new to CS6 and how every thing works

see suppose if i want to change color of text “Season spring- summer” i know we can change color for panel..when i edit text color is changing there but on video i cannot see color changed…......
and in tutorial at last i can see when we click on add to render queue here its showing h-264….but on my software i cannot see this h-264….........please help
