Hi CarlB, just bought your BlogBook which is great. I have watched your tutorial Videos. As far as everything clear, but one thing is not properly explained: All the “Video”-Content; how did you put in this “airplane-transition” or the drawing of the sketch? Is that already an mp4-file which you drag & dropped? How did you start the video with this title-sequenze in yellow letters: “got something to say?”. It would be a great help, if you could give me some answers to that. Thank you very much.
Hello Philip!
Thanks a lot for purchasing, and glad you like it! All the animations are made with the usual after effects tools. The plane is simply a picture black on white that was animated left to right, and the map was masked to appear as it moves. The letters are placed using the text tool in after effects.
The goal with the project is to provide a solid base that can be used to build whatever project is needed, is more a toolbox than a finished product. All the animations you see in the pages are done with basic AE tools like positioning, scale, rotation, etc, and the automatic processing will make that appear inside the book pages.
I hope that helps, and thanks again!
Hi. I bought your template. but video tutorial in help page doesn’t open.
Fixed! Try again now please
And thanks for purchasing!
Hi, it is written that your template works with After Effects Version CC 2018, CC 2017, CC 2016, CC 2015, CC 2014, CC, CS6. I have After Effect CS5.5 Does it work with that version? Thanks in advance for your answer.
Hi Carl, other question. I much prefer the light and design of your Logbook Mockup which looks beautiful than The BlogBook (beautiful too but less interesting for what I want to do). Few questions regarding “the Logbook Mockup” - Is it possible to change the background (meaning delete the coffee cup for instance)? - Is it possible to create a zoom into the notebook (does it affect the quality of the image / text / vidéo?) in order to be able to read the text or see in full size the video or image? - Is it possible to stay on one page as much time as we want? Thank you in advance for your anwser, Best.
Hi, is there a way to extend the clips past 10 seconds?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hello Rydercar, and sorry. Yes there is. It does require some tinkering, but essentially you can extend the duration of any page changing the length of the comp and moving keyframes.
Really awesome project!
Thanks so much! Woud be great if you could rate it!
Hi Carl, I have similiar problem as tijsos previously (1srt page of comments), I need to extend duration of spreds, there are videos inside so when the flip occurs, it shows the wrong frame. Could you send me instructions how to tweak it? My e-mail address: bartosz.druszcz@gmail.com I’m a bit in a rush so I would appreciate a quick reply. Thank you in advance!
Sorry, after some time I realised the problem doesn’t occure while using the extra pages provided in the seperate folder.
I’ve purchased the template but I keep getting the message that ‘Blogbook control’ and ‘Page Spread select’ are missing. I’ve downloaded again, but it still gives me the same message. Also, when the pages turn, the images and videos don’t keep on the page that is turning, and that does not look good. Can you please help?
Please, read the included help file regarding the “missing effects”. Make sure you follow the tutorial instructions to make the images stay on the page. Thanks a lot for purchasing!
I’ve downloaded my files, but when opening in After Efffects I keep getting a pop-up that the following two effects are missing: ‘Blogbook control’ and ‘Page Spread select’. I’ve re-downloaded and unzipped again, but the same issue appeared. Can you please advise.
Please, read the included help file! Your doubts are addressed there. Thanks a lot for purchasing.
My book has round corners. Is it possible for a skilled AI professionell to change this within the template?
The book does have round corners. For a very skilled professional it would be possible to change it but you would need to make a lot of frame by frame adjustments.
Nicely done!
I wish further promotion and good luck!
Hello, from the description, it seems like the template does not support AE CS5? Please confirm, since I really like this template…
You need at least AE CS6 or AE CC to open it! I am sorry!
Hi, I’ve got a problem… I cannot open the file- it just kept showing that I cannot overwrite the file. Why is that? I’m using After Effects CC. Thanks in advance.
Have you tried downloading it again from the site? There is also plenty on documentation about that particular error around.. I suggest doing a search in CreativeCow! I hope it helps.
Is it possible to zoom in to a certain part on the page? Tighten the frame shot?
Thanks
Yes, the project is 4K resolution, so if your video is FullHD, you can just increase the scale of the image as you please.
It’s great to see such works !! it is worthy of good sales !!!
I’m having issues with changing the front and back cover. The template doesn’t change the whole cover. Any ideas?
Hello! What do you mean by the whole cover? If you need another image or color use a solid image in the FRONT and BACK comps. Thanks for purchasing!
Hi there, I really like the way you transition from one scene to another (example travel to the kitchen) What is the simplest way to do the same transition as you?
Just drag the backgrounds in the template and animate their position!
I bought your template because it is very well done and flexible but the surprise was when I looked at the tutorials. Unfortunately, the two effects that are not included are a strong point missing, practically doing everything or almost with those. If tutorials had to customize the model without the two effects, it would be much more useful, otherwise it would be better to include them in the package. anyway thanks
Thanks so much for purchasing rbsklio! What two effects are you referring to?
hello CarlB, I’m referring to “Page Spread Select” and “Blog Book Control”
The effects are included! This are not actual effects, but something called ‘custom effects’ you can build in After Effects. They simply appear as missing because AE is trying to find them in your computer, but this effects are not effects but compilations of expressions I built into the project.
As you can read at the top of the help document that comes with the purchase:
IMPORTANT NOTICE
When you open the Blogbook AE project, an error message will appear saying that some effects are missing. This is due to the inclusion of custom effects that make editing easier. They will work perfectly anyways, so you can disregard the message.
Try using this effects in the project, you will see they work perfectly.
thanks and sorry for the misunderstanding!
Thanks CarlB I saw that they work thanks to the explanation
You are welcome!
Hello CarB, I would like to point out a small problem on book template which is present after the conversion for editin with AE 2017, when you click on “static front cover” the book appears splitted, but the project goes on well without apparent problems I have to attach the AE screen that appears after clicking if you like. Hello! Yes please, can you contact me through my profile? Thanks!
I sent you the photo by email ren.bas**@libero.it
Hola Carlos, excelente proyecto. Muchas gracias!! Diego
Amazing output
Hello – Is there anyway to change the color of the background/side pages easily? I’m trying to overlay scanned, yellow-ish journal pages and they look good, except the pages on either side are white and it looks inconsistent.
Example: https://goo.gl/RG5oDm
Other than going through each source image and changing each page, is there another fix?
Let me know.
Hello! Thanks for purchasing! Really cool effect you are going for. You could try applying some color correction to the whole element. Perhaps some “change color” effect achieves what you need. Or finding a filter that will affect only the bright colors. I hope that helps!
