Hi there, I’ve done a google search for the error and it looks like it has to do with an error with your after effects installation or some plugins.

Can you tell me if this error only comes up when opening the template project file or does it also show up when opening any aep file?

Also, what happens after you close the error message?

Hi there!

After you opened the project in after effects, take a look at the project window and find the folder “pre-comps”. In this folder, you find the composition “Animation”. Double-click on that composition to open it up in the timeline. Down at the bottom, you see a layer called “BG”. Delete this layer or turn it off with the little eye-switch to the left.

Now go back to the Output composition, you find it in the Project window, but it should already be an open tab in the timeline. In the Output comp, the top layer is called “Controls”. Select this layer with a single left mouse-click. Now take a look at the Effect controls window, there you have all the color, animation and look controls. Uncheck all flares and the “End-Animation” and you will be able to render out a transparent video.

To make sure that you indeed have a transparent background before rendering, click on the little checkerboard at the bottom of the preview window. This enables the transparency grid and if you did all the steps above, you should see a checkerboard behind the logo animation indicating transparency.

When it comes to rendering, make sure to choose a codec that supports transparency, for example Quicktime PNG, and don’t forget to also set the channels to “RGB+Alpha” and NOT to “RGB”.

This is what you have to do: In the Output composition, set the Timeline Marker to “0:00:03:20” or if your timeline is set to show frames instead of seconds then set it to 110th frame. Now select the layer called “Clean Elegant Rotation Logo 2” and hit Ctrl+Shift+D (or Cmd+Shift+D on a Mac) to split the layer in two parts at that point in time. The second, right half, we need to duplicate. For this, hit Ctrl+D (or CMD+D). Now select the lower copy, right-click on it and choose Time->Freeze Frame. Now move the upper copy to the right for as long as you want your logo to be frozen, e.g. for 3 seconds.

Last, adjust the time of the Output composition to fit to the new length of the animation. Hit Ctrl+K (or CMD+K) and set a new duration for the comp.

Hi there! Thanks for the purchase. In the Output composition, there is a layer called “Controls”. If you select this layer and look at the Effect Controls window, there should be a checkbox labeled “End Animation”. If you check that, the Logo is flying out after it got revealed.

Hi derryphilip, thank you for the purchase. The prerendered flares prevent a transparent background. If you are working with the plugin version then you can set the flares to be rendered on transparent. However, if you want to use a transparent background, I’d recommend to shut off the flares completely. This way you can also use the prerendered version. All you need to do is shut off the white background as well as all the flares and you can render with transparency. If you like to have the flares in the end product, you can render another video with only the flares, then import that flare video together with the transparent logo intro into your editing program, and set the blending mode of the flares video to “screen” or “add”. For this, your editing program needs to support blending modes, though. (Adobe Premiere does support it).
