Hi. Wonderful work. I bought this project. And I’m editing with After Effects CS6 on a PC. But when i run it has a dragging in the animation can you help! Thanks

What do you mean by “dragging”? Is it acting weird during RAM preview or when you render it? Please send me some screenshots and more detailed information using contact form

Impressive work mate, well done!

Congratulations, you have some great work! Wish you more many sales :)

Hi, I bought this video and used it successfully, thank you for great work!

It would be nice to have a diagram of which placeholder corresponds to which screen. I had to insert text “01, 02, 03… 31, 32” into each comp to find out. I suggest you create something similar instead of 32 identical placeholder pictures. Or am I missing something and there’s a quicker way to accomplish this?

Merry Christmas!

Good idea. no, currently there are no system that would identify which one is which. Mostly users use them randomly.

Hi I just bought this video and I want use it for the wishes of my firm but I ever used after effects (although I’m very good with Photoshop) at the end of your readme you say to contact you if needed to costumize it. I need to insert 32 pictures and the logo can u do it for me? I’m watching the basic training from http://videocopilot.net/basic/ and I imported the 32 photos but I’m not able to import anything from your file it gave me always errors (the version I downloaded is aftereffects 4) it says that the format file could not parse the file….can u help me? thank you Fiona

Error like that usually appears when you try to import file format that is not supported by After Effects. If it’s an image – it could be that this image is in CMYK color mode (AE only takes RGB ) or some non-standard video coded if it’s a video file.

Please send me email through my profile page and will see what we can do to fix it.

Hey!

Thanks a lot for that file! Had fun editing it! I’d need to know where you got the ending swoosh from, as i need to replace the soundtrack, but keep that SFX in the end. I can’t seem to find the right one!

Thanks in advance!

I think it was from VideoCopilot’s Designers Sound FX collection, but i could be wrong.

Wonderful file ;-) Tganks a lot & merry Xmas

Hello ! Very nice job :)

Can I use this video for a french promotion ? (Remplace Merry Christmas by Joyeux Noël ?)

Thanks !

Sure. All texts in this project are editable so you can replace them to whatever you need.

Holy night. great project. :)

I’m standing ovation !!!

Sorry for what is perhaps a stupid question, but what kind of file is this? Which program is used in order to customize the video?

Thanks !

This file, as most of the project files here are made with Adobe After Effects. To customize this project you need After Effects version CS3 or CS4 . You can download free trial from Adobe.com and get the free basic training from http://videocopilot.net/basic/ Help file is included with this project but it’s written assuming that you have some basic knowledge in After Effects. If you find it too complicated to do the customization yourself – send me a message and will see what I can do for you.

I’ve used this twice now: -Once with 32 still images. -Once with 32 videos running and the project length doubled to two minutes (I slowly ran the camera down the tree, pausing for a few seconds on some of the frames and bringing up their audio).

Render Times I got (using 720p only / i7 920 with 12GB of DDR3 -1600) -At normal length with photos it took maybe 30 minutes to render (wasn’t paying that much attention). -At twice length (2 minutes) and with 32 seperate video files, it too about 5 hours to render

Extending the length of the video was brutal because everything is set to the default length. I think it must have required changing the comp times of around 70+ comps which was really tedious. Maybe there’s some beginner knowledge I’m missing where you can change the comp times of multiple comps at the same time. If so, I’d love to know how to do that. :) Otherwise, I like project templates a lot better when most of the comps have really big comp times. It makes customizing them a lot eaiser.

I was also wondering if the video wall tree would have looked better with a thin green tree outline around the outside of the video frames (or maybe a real x-mas tree still image). I meant to try that but got lazy.

This one was fun working with – thanks again. Unless there’s a way to change multple comp times at the same time, I’d love to see really extended comp times on future projects (you know – on everything but the final output comps).

I see it now. (I’m slow). I’m not sure if I like that better, or maybe even the first letters on both words (M,C). Personaly tastes and all. Thanks again. :)

I just took a look through the project and it is a very excellent pro job all the way around. Seriously excellent man. It is very clean looking looking and the animations look very smooth. For a 1280×720p web version, I don’t think the tree gets enough foreground focus time as the video elements get fairly small when it settles back (easy to modify).

I’m going to spruce this up with some animated HI-Res Chirstmas art and use it as a family Christams video greeting card.

I was going to say I have no complaints at all, but (from the preview video) the one flaw I see is that the “S” in Christmas doesn’t finish animating in before it animates out. The “M” in Merry just barely misses the same problem. Very minor and easy to fix though of course. It’s odd you can do such complicated work in a project sometimes and miss something so simple.

Awesome – thanks for the good work!

Thank you for a good feedback from buyers perspective. Actually I did the M and S thing for a purpose, but if you don’t like it – it could easily be changed. Open the “Edit Your text Here” comp, click on Merry Christmas layer, hit U on keyboard and go to keyframe that is around the 13th second. Edit it’s (Offset) value from 66% to 100% You might also want to increase next keyframe’s value from 54% to 70% or something to have the pre-animation before text goes away – look smoother.

Great! Simple and clean looking! Very stylish! Smooth movements.. just perfect :) congrats my friend!

Creative once again man :)
