Nice project, but when I open the pretender version, the images are missing the brightness and clarity of the floor and tv. Is there a missing file in this project?
No, it should all be there. Are you maybe using non English version of AE?
No. I am using AE 2019. Also missing is the Lens Blur
Its a great file…perhaps it should be updated 
can you send me the screenshot of the issue please, so I can take a look? The lens blur effect does not exist anymore in cc2019 that’’s the issue…I will try to update the project in near future, but you should still have to see the images….it shouldn’t be missing.

Background is image of city as layer in AE, so it is not part of 3d render. Also you can turn floor as 3d render and left only floor made in AE, because you have combined floor i 3D and AE. So, yes, background can be changed. Cheers
Is it possible to change the length of the video & change the duration of how long each television is featured?
Yes and no. The animation is prerendered in 3D aplication so you cant change the length. But… you can extend the length by using time remap effect. But you must be careful with time remap because too much extension will make the frame “flickers”
Okay. But wouldn’t using a time remapping also remap the video in the placeholders on the screens? Or do those timelines stay independent?
Good question. It also get effected. Than you must apply time remap to video, with speed that will keep video speed original.
Still no luck getting this to render on either of the two computers I’ve tried. I keep getting the message “Unable to create image file” and something about the computer may be fragmenting, trying reallocating resources to other systems. I get this message on both computers trying to render this file. It actually started to render on the older machine before I got the message. On the new machine it never rendered at all, just spun its wheels for a few hours before giving the error. So it’s important to have the recommended processing power or this just won’t work. Too bad as it is totally awesome, I would love for it to work, such a powerful presentation.
Ok, try this, open all of prerender movies in prerender version in some encoding program and render i again in some codec that you are familiar with(you now that worked well in past). Then replace all old rendered files with new one(right mouse click in project setting windows with videos selected). Also if you still has issues try to turned off depth of field on ae camera in main comp. I thing that this will work Let me know
Hmmm, okay but will that work, how can I render those files if don’t I have Videocopilot’s Optical flares, Trapcode Particular, Form and Horizon?
But some hopeful news, I tried reallocating more sources to other programs and so far the thing is still rendering, I am hopeful maybe it will work, it is almost halfway rendered now. So I should know by tomorrow.
No, you use prerendered of, particular movies from prerender version, and converted it again(you may have some codec issue), that what I mean. But ok, if you find solution, great, I hope it will work
YES ! It did render. So the solution is to go to the Preferences in AE and ensure that Disk Cache is enabled and to increase the amount of RAM going to other processes so the computer doesn’t crash while it’s rendering. I also chose the multiple frames rendering model and selected for the fastest rendering. I am so excited because it is SOOO awesome. Thanks for your great work on this and your patience with those of us who are not as advanced as the rest of you. Really, I love this one. And I see Elements and Palmtreep replied to this and I love both of their stuff too. Actually a lot of the people who posted on your comments page also do incredible stuff. Keep up the great work!
Blast. I just realized even my brand new computer isn’t close to your recommendations. Where do you people get the cash to buy those kinds of computers? I’m horribly envious. (I am always one or two steps behind and even when I upgrade I am just always behind with where the technology is at. Not your problem, but it’s getting to be a frustration for me. I always want to do so much more and am always limited.)
Anyway…if I can’t get this to render, (which I am starting to suspect will be the case) is it possible you would offer a rendering service if I gave you the AE file and, if so, how much would that cost?
Uhh, sorry man. But really, if you are using prerender version its wouldn’t supposed to be a problem for you even on a slower comp, it would take you longer but it suppose to finish eventually.
Yes I’m using the pre-rendered version, so like you I thought it would be okay. I tried purging the image cache and making some other adjustments on the resources/cache. Let me see what happens and also try it again on the older )computer in case there is simply something wrong with this new one and the installation (I just got it yesterday). Thanks though.
I’m having trouble getting this to render. I have been trying to render it for the past 2 days and it keeps crashing my (brand new) computer as well as my old one. I get the message, Unable to draw an image surface and then it lists some huge surface? I’m puzzled. Any clue what the problem might be? Can’t wait to see this finally rendered, I think it’s totally awesome, just having some problems getting it to work. I am using the pre-rendered file.
