QUICK FIX IF YOUR TEXT APPEARS DARK:
- Open the Setup Scene in the specific Element 3D Layer
- In the scene tab, select the specific Scene Material (ie: Gold_Basic)
- In the Edit Tab below the Scene Tab, scroll down to Basic Settings and change Diffuse Color to the color you’d like the text to appear
- In the Edit Tab below the Scene Tab, scroll down to Illumination and change Color to your desired color
- Raise Intensity to 50% or higher
Done
Play with the other settings as well if you need to, just raise the intensity of each accordingly

So, I figure out why the letter were black. Find the Element 3D Anf Happy New Year and Element 3D Merry Christmas 2. Click on file and proceed to Effect controls. Click on Scene Setup button. From this new window rotate the text to the desired defuse and reflection. Click OK and the scene will render to the desired yellow colors..etc.
I have the latest adobe AFx CC 2019 and bought/downloaded the latest Element 2.2.2 plugin—none of the text looks good… all dark red or black. The seller has read numerous complaints from people and won’t fix the file, instead, he makes people go to the plug-in company to ask for an old version of the plugin which could take days.
The potential was promising, but I’m not having a good experience with this seller. Will have to learn this plugin and rebuild lighting/reflections etc myself.
VideoCopilot gave me access to v1.6 … I tried all files in all projects “Christmas Titles 1, Christmas Titles 2, and Christmas Titles 3” with both versions of the the plug v1.6 and v2.2.2—When it showed up, I only saw Black Text everywhere.

Sorry but envato TEST all templates before sell it and template work fine! I cant detect this problem and fix it becouse i cant catch it!(( Try this… open Element 3d Layer, open element 3d effect, select text layer and check textures in diffuse, specular, normal Try to import this textures from textures folder in your project folder in this tabs, or try to move project in this location: E:\ENVATO\!!! Videohive\Christmas Titles 3\Collected 7 And you can use “Missing textures help” video to fix missing textures error! 
I use element 3d v2.2.2 all work fine. Using Nvidia gtx470 card

If you’re considering purchasing the files, go ahead and give it a shot!!! This is a beautiful project. Chances are that the issues I’ve run into won’t happen to you.

Hi, I have same problem than ALL OTHER PEOPLE, text are black. I have element V2.2.2 (legal) and after effect 2018 ( legal). I don’t recommand this project, this is beautiful but you can’t use it cause this bug.

Yes i open Christmas Titles 3 Element 3D V2. I have no idea whats going on . I reinstall elemend 3D v2.2.2 from their website 2 time. After research I seem to be missing “Default_blurred.jpg” texture and I thought this is why text are black, can you send it to me ?

I am having an issue. I added Element 3D V1.6 to my account, but I am still getting darken text boxes on ‘3 Titles Block 2’ and ‘5 Title Block 4’. All the other titles look correct, but these two are dark in the middle. I am using Christmas Titles 3 Version.
How do I correct the titles that are dark? Thank you!
I have also tried using the Christmas Titles 3 V2 version after having downloaded both V1.6 and V2.2 of Element 3D. Again, I am having the same problem. All the titles are correct except for Block 2 and Block 4. Please help. Thank you!

Hi! Are you use element 3d v2.2? If you have problem with element 3d v2.2 you can try element 3d v1.6 and open (Christmas Titles 3.aep) project file! Yo can ask videocopilot team to add element 3d v1.6 to your account for free!
This is not cool : element titles are black. I have element 3D v2, after effect cc 2017 ( legal ) and i have no error. I open the project “Christmas Titles 3 Element 3D V2” and all element title are black. What is going on?

For those on whose machines the Element titles appear black, one solution besides reinstalling the Element and try different AE versions is to open the corresponding Element layer’ scene setup panel for the title that appears black or dark (from the effects menu).
A new Videocopilot Element dashboard window opens up from where the titles are being built and/or edited, modified, etc. Select the scene materials and in the right menu check ‘Draw backfaces’ from all the way down.
There is an explanation of why this occurs and needs to be checked if there are problems but it’s beyond the scope of this posting.
If the title still appears too dark you can play with the settings of luminosity, diffuse, etc of the scene material and as a last resort apply a color overlay effect to the title and set it to ‘screen’ or something that lights up the title!

It looks good…but the music of the 2nd one (Xmas titles 2) is much much more better…it chills me up…can you create a remake of the epic music in this one? I liked better the 2nd

Gold tone on TITLES DO NOT work – confirmed. I’ve reviewed your note from 11 months ago in the hopes that this beautiful presentation would work for my purposes. I’ve tried 2017 and 2014 versions of AE with Element and Optical Flares to no avail. Do you know any other tricks to make this work – I’m at a loss.
An additional note – I seem to be missing “Default_blurred.jpg” texture – can you provide? This would be VERY helpful
Be advised – ALL ISSUES have been resolved – no need to respond – after a few hurdles with “Element” the project works perfectly.

Hello pmwa, I purchased this file last Friday and also purchased Element 3D so that the comp would render correctly. I seem to be having issues with Element 3D and I can’t get an answer from their support. I was hoping you might be able to help me as I don’t know where else to go. I get this error message:
“after effects error: plug-in “element.aex” could not be loaded”
Do you have any ideas what it might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hm, maybe you use element 3d 64 bit in 32 bit host ?
