How do I change Video? -it does not let me choose “Replace Footage File” – what am I doing wrong here?

Thank you for your quik reply! Unfortunately it seems to be an other problem. It’s all about the translation of the expressions (like slider etc.) from englis into german. I found a tool called ExpressionUniversalizer that can handle most of the expressions but there are stille some missing ones. Now, I’ve changed the AE german version into the english and everything workes now. But my english is not as good as I can understand everything. Therefore my question: Do you have a similar tool like ExpressionUniversalizer or do you know another way for doing all those translations? Kind regards Lars
Uhhff… I honestly don’t know… I never have this kind a problem before…What would I do, I will probably use English version to work with, and German version to figure it out everything that I don’t understand in English…Everything is the same so you can go to German version for every word that you are dont know…If you cant use both same CS version, use different CS version…Well, this is hard way, I understand, but its the only way I can think of right now. Sorry I cant be more helpful

But when opening this project in AE (german version) I receive the following error message:
After Effects Warnung: Klasse “Effect” hat keine Eigentschaft oder Methode mit dem Namen “Slider” Expression deaktiviert
Fehler in Zeile 1 Komp.: “Dual Reality’s HD 1080p” Ebene: 2(CAMERA Position) Eigentschaft: Position
Any idea what is wrong with it? Is there a translation file needed for AE in other languages than english?

Well, this is one of “expression turned loss” error from its own connection(it usually don’t happened). Now this expression connect null object layer named “CAMERA Position” in the timeline with null object named “CAMERA wiggle” in the timeline. You must assign this expression again so wiggle can work. You can do that by select camera position layer and hit u key. All animated assets in the timeline for this layer must pop up. Than go up and select Camera wiggle layer and lock effect control window for this layer. Then go down on CAMERA position layer again and you see exposed expression “wiggle(thisComp.layer(“CAMERA Wiggle”).effect(“Freq”)(“Slider”),thisComp.layer(“CAMERA Wiggle”).effect(“Mag”)(“Slider”))”. Click on this text and it will be blue selected. Than use expression pick whip(see on Google where its located) to connect this layer to “Mag” slider on locked effect window for CAMERA wiggle layer. Thats it. I hope you will manage to go thrue it. Also, first try to unzip project again on second location. That also might help, because this is not normal behavior for project to loss her connection to expression. Cheers Aleksandar

I’m not able to render this stunning project. I keep getting the message that it can’t read the files in the “don’t touch” folder, where ever I save the project to. I’ve download it three times in case there was a problem there, but no, the problem percists. Shame
Dont worry, man, that problem can be fixed. It happened with couple of users already. It seems to be some codec issue on your comp, to be specific your quick time codec. You can find some good codec pack with quick time in it, try k-lite, it’s good, and then open it again and see if this was helpful. If not, find some encoding program, adobe media encoder will be good, and open every prerender clip from project folders with encoding program. Prerender those clips in some format that you sure that will work with your comp. (something with good resolution also, uncompress avi will do great). When you prerender all clips, open project, find those clips in project setting window/dont touch/video folder. Then right mouse click and choose “replace movie” option, and then just navigate to folder where you stored your new, rendered clips. Wholla, that is all. I hope this was helpful. Hello bought the project and every time I render it crashes what do I do? really wanted to use an advertisement that I do and not getting to.
@lenlen hi, try this: in render queue, click “best settings” next to render sentings, and mark “use opengl renderer”. I had really many troubles before i found this solution. It stoped ae from crashing when i tried to render out complex compositions. hope it helps you too.
