I bought this today and I have a problem with the text not displaying in the final render and this is what it looks like when I try to change the text myself. Is this what its supposed to look like?

If you install “Element 3D”, it should work. So, I am not sure why After Effects says, “it is not installed.”

Thanx a lot! But I have some questions. I have a dark text and a preview has more bright. Where can I change this setting? And preview has 29 photos, in my project there are only 28. Can I add one more? And how?
There are only 28 photo placeholders. The preview video shows only 28 photos. To make a dark text more bright, click the shy layer button to see the hidden layers. And, select “Element 3D title” layer and adjust “Curves” effect.
Thanx for the explanation. Please watch the preview again. At the end of the video there are three photos with texts together, on 1:28 minute there is a third photo but it doesn’t exist in the project.

can i use logo files in place of text? I’d like to use text for some placeholders, but then also use a few logo files in some of the locations (but still have the cool 3D flythrough effect.
It’s possible. All you have to do is to import your logo and extrude it in Element 3D. You can find some good tutorial videos like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpDHjnVdkQI

I purchased it and watched your video… which unfortunately didn’t help as that requires you to type font that matches the logo (I can’t do this due to the style of the logos). So i used this video – https://youtu.be/wg7SDtEEdcg and now have a comp with my logo extruded. How do I insert this into the project? I want to add five logos where Text 1, Text 2, Text 3, Text 4, and Text 25 are. Thanks for your help!

thanks – I will watch today. I also tried to render project last night and it was going to take 20 hours. So I left my computer on overnight and when I got back to work AE had crashed. Any suggestions on best render settings for a reasonable output? I’m using a fairly powerful macbook pro.
I am sorry to hear that it had crashed. It never failed on my system, so I am not sure what caused the rendering issue. You can turn off motion blur if you want to speed up the process.
i’ve been doing reading and heard ray tracing might be a big problem. Does this project use this? How do I turn this off?
also, what would you expect to be a normal render time for this project? I have a 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 Macbook Pro with 16 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 Memory and AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2048MB Graphics – trying to output again (this time using Media Encorder) as an .h264 and render time is estimated at 30 hours (and climbing)
I used Element 3D version 1.6.4 (which does not offer ray tracing) to make this After Effects project. So, to answer your question, No, this project does not use it. But, E3D version 2 offers ray tracing (ray-tracer) function. If you are using version 2 , are you using ray-tracer?
I am using version 2, but have no idea how to see if I’m using ray tracing or where to turn it off if I am. Trying to find that answer online.
It takes about 4-5 hours on my system (2×3.06 Ghz 6-Core Intel Xeon + 16 GB memory). I can’ say precisely, but it should be more like 7-10 hours not 30 hours.
I’m not using Ray Tracing – so I’m stuck. The render in Adobe Media Encoder basically froze, so I stopped it after about 2 hours. No idea what to do now to get this project rendered.
I always have bad luck with Media Encoder when it comes to rendering. If I were you, I would render in After Effects. I don’t know what happened last time, but it should render. Please let me know.
I just purchased this template and I have a problem. On SCENE 5, the TEXT from 1 – 4 are NOT taking the expressions to duplicate the first 4 text scenes? I can not edit either. Can you please help out with this. Thanks!
I figured it out. I had two copies of the project imported and it was reading the text. off the old unedited comp.
