How can i do I learned by watching videos. Thanks.
I am considering purchasing this. I was curious. I have a decently large video I would like to make of this. But the length would be about 10 minutes and cover many different times on a topic. Is this modular at all? Would I be able to add roughly 30 different videos and another 30 pictures and control the timing?
If you know your way around After Effects yes. But honestly this template was not specifically build to lengthen out to 10 minutes. You’d have to copy existing scenes or increase timing for each one. Which is not that hard to do if you are an average After Effects user. It might get tricky for certain scenes but definitely doable.
Thanks for the reply. I’m pretty proficient in Premiere, but my skills with after effects are beginner level at the moment. I appreciate your time.
Hello – love the template, but having a hard time restoring the original look of the footage – the main comp and render comp make the footage look blown out. How do I render it without and over exposed shots?
Hi there! If you hit the shy button to unshy all layers in both the main comp and render comp, you’ll find a bunch of overlay effects layers that you can turn off. Hope this helps!
Are the pictures and movies in this project included?
No they are not since they are not mine. They are linked to under the Atrribution section on the description page.
I get an error on opening the file. After Effects warning: Class ‘global” has no property or method named ‘start’ expression disabled.
i cant work nor open the file properly as multiple errors keep keep coming.
Hi there. You’re the second person this happens to in a short time.
It appears something is happening with this file when opened in certain versions of After Effects. Are you on After Effects CS6?
The errors are expressions errors. I think that for some computer there are too much expressions in this template. I have disabled most of them in the Shapes Overlay Composition now so you shouldn’t get any errors anymore. I’m re-uploading as we speak so please try and re-download this in about 3 days since it make take a while for it to get approved again.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Are there any tips on speeding up rendering times with the final video – I have found this template possibly the slowest to render that I have ever worked with. I’m using SSD’s for the source footage, as well as the output drive and a beast of a GPU and overall a fast PC but rendering the ‘render’ comp is slow…..like 13 hours slow. What effects would be best to disable to speed up rendering time? The ‘content’ comp is actually not to bad to render it’s just outputting it from the ‘render’ comp seems to slow the hell out of my system…I’ve tried on two strong PC’s and nothing seems to work.
Thanks for your help
Hey Joshua can you send me over your purchase verification code first? This account doesn’t show u have purchased this item and I won’t be able to help you otherwise. Thanks!
Hi Motion Vids – I actually can’t do that as it was my boss that purchased the video under the Company WB Production- And unfortunately he is flying as we speak- I can send it possibly in a few hours.
Okay then we will have to wait for a couple of hours. Do you need this quick or are you on a deadline? 13 hours export time isn’t all that bad right? Just let it run overnight and it’s done.
in videohive I see that there is a choice ” Universal Expressions ” for after effect … I got it to work but what I would like to have your help to know where to buy it . Thanks for the help
Not sure what you mean here by saying ‘I got it to work’ since you haven’t purchased this item. You can Universalize Expressions with this script: http://aescripts.com/expressionuniversalizer/
I mean I want to start buying ( to work with) these file types with ” Universal Expressions” . Thanks for the reply but the link you sent me sent to an upgrade by $ 49.99, or the software is complete ? Thanks a lot!!!
Again, not sure if I understand you. Universalized Expressions are expressions that are universalized so that they work with any language version of AE. You don’t need to buy the software for this to get them to work, that is actually what the software does, it makes the expressions work in any language without having to download any additional software. I think you have a general misconception of either this software or what expressions in After Effects do.
I repeat the point: I have After Effects in Italian and buying on Videohiove I have the problem that the expressions of the design are in English and therefore many are not working. This program solves this problem? You tell me that I should not buy anything, but I only have After Effect and nothing else, I have not bought Universalized Expressions and I asked you for advice on how to buy it
Okay now I understand you. No you don’t have to buy anything extra. The expressions in this item are already universalized so you don’t need any extra software. If you buy this project it will work in your Italian version of AE.
So it depends on what type of project you are buying. If the author states the project has Universalized Expressions, you can buy it and it will work in your Italian version of AE. If however the author doesn’t state this on his item description page, it his highly likely the case that the item was made in a different language then Italian and therefor any expressions made in a language other then Italian will not work for you. You’ll have to ask the author if he can use the software ‘Expressions Universalizer V2’ to make the project available for you, or you could set your After Effects to English language.
perhaps I understood: the program which you have sent me the link, designers need to make projects that can be used in each language of AE
Exactly.
the Project , the video of the boat to 16 seconds missing . how can you have ? thank you

I link to all the used videos there.
Many many thanks
Whilst I like this template I’m finding it virtually impossible to use. I’ve spent three hours trying to drop one image and some text into Scene 2. No matter what I do it won’t render in the Main or Render Comp. Incredibly frustrating. For a very simple template, the structure of it is really complex. I’ve now worked it you need to use the 3D switch (from the post above) but it’s not obvious. I’d suggest mentioning that in the Readme file. I nearly killed my cat over it!
I’m sorry to hear this but I understand you’ve worked it all out in the end? The reason this happens because the collapse transformations button was still checked for these comps in Scene 2. Somehow I forgot to disable that. Now you can either disable that for Placeholder 1 or make the footage 3D to make the footage appear in the Main Comp.
In any case I’ve updated the file and re-uploaded it so future users won’t have to figure this out themselves any more. Just give it a couple of hours(sometimes days) to be approved by the reviewing team.
Thanks for the heads up.
Are there any other issues you’d like to address?
Oh and please don’t kill your cat.
Love this! Two questions for ya- Scene 2, when I switch out the placeholder following your video, it works fine within that comp but nothing is showing up in the main comp. Is there a step I’m missing? Also, if we want to replace the video footage with longer videos, do we have to move everything in the timeline down? Thanks in advance!
Hi there and thank you for your purchase!
Yes, a simple solution is in the Placeholder 1 composition to turn on the 3D switch for that newly imported footage. Now it should show up in your Main Comp as well.
And yes if you want longer videos you’ll have to move everything down in the ‘Content’ composition.
However you would probably want to re-animate the camera. Or better is to just create your own new camera since the keyframes of the original camera are baked.
A simple way to do this, is to create a new camera and copy over the keyframes of the baked keyframe camera on the frame where it has a certain scene in focus.
For example in Scene 2 you put the Timeline Indicator at a point where the camera is at a stop and copy over the keyframe data(position, point of interest, orientation, etc) from the old camera to the new one. Just copy over the keyframes from one particular frame for each scene and later you can apply your own keyframe easing for smoother transitions.
Now starting from the beginning you can do this for every scene and build you way to the end.
Hope this helps.
Noob here… I know you state that the camera is baked, however, I’m wondering if there is a way to speed up the flow of certain areas at all, or would that require the need to create a new camera for that. Just wanting to try to match certain sequences with some voice over. Thanks!
Well you could try and do this with the Time Remapping effect in After Effects. Go to your Render Comp and start chopping up the Main Comp into the pieces you want to go faster/slower. Now apply Time Remapping to any of the Main Comp layers you want to go faster.
You can also delete some of the baked keyframes and re-keyframe the camera for a particular part. This would also require you to change the scene comp lengths and maybe the transition nulls (like ‘Scene4 to Scene5’). However this could be a tedious process if you are not experienced in After Effecs.
Is there a version without ‘baked keyframes’ for the camera?
ie the original camera move keyframes, rather than the keyframes on every frame?
thanks
Hi and thanks for your question! No unfortunately there is no such version. You’ll have to create and animate a new camera yourself.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
It’s appear ” After Effects warning: expressions disabled as a result of errors.” What am I going to do?
Could you send me a screenshot of this error and tell me when this is actually happening? Please send it to info [at] motionvids.com
I’m on holiday for 2 weeks so I don’t have my computer with me but I’ll try and help you best I can through my phone! Sorry for the inconvienence.
Very useful! Thanks!
