Hey,
Awesome work, can you buy the music from audio jungle?
Simon
Hi Simon,
Unfortunately, the music has been taken off line for a time, because of a licensing deal that the author got. I’m told it’ll be back on-line in a few months, but at the moment, it’s not available.

I accidentally click on the wrong part of the layer and now one of my extruded text4 is now black. The source text is fine.
///Nevermind. the expression was disabled. It’s working now.
Glad you solved it!
hello felt tips Great Project! I have a couple questions though and hopefully you can help! Im new to the editing and after effects community and needed help with 2 things
1. how do u make the images on “Image 1” change.. like from the clock to the thinker..? I tried it and it only had one picture over lapping the other one from “its time” to “to get serious”.. how did u do it?
2. How did you do the “Felt Tips Presents” opening text in your video.. I noticed that the text wasnt included in the download..
Great Project and I hope to hear from you
- Daniel B
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for purchasing Delicous.
In answer to your questions…
1. If you go into the composition. ! YOUR FOOTAGE IMAGE 1 , you’ll see that layer 3 is the Alarm Clock, and it stops at Frame 90. Layer 2 is the Thinker and it starts at Frame 90. If you import your own images and do the same thing the images will change at the appropriate time.
2. No, I didn’t include the Felt Tips logo, ‘cos that’s my logo, and I thought users would rather use their own logo! Besides which, the technique that it uses is not easily automated.
If you want to make a logo for yourself that uses some of the style or techniques from the Felt Tips logo, here’s some tips.
The Felt Tips logo itself is hand-drawn. I scanned it in and used a Levels, a Luma-Matte and a Tint effect to make a transparent matte of the logo. The “presents” is written on using a technique called scratchback. You use the eraser tool (in Duration: Constant) mode and erase the last little portion of the text, then you advance a frame and erase a bit more until the whole thing is gone. Then you can time-reverse this footage and it will appear that the text is writing on. The last thing is to animate this on using scale. (I used a slight bounce at the end to make it feel funky)
Do have a good look through the user guide material though. Absolutely everything you need to know is in there in text and video format.
-felt tips.
Update: Here’s my tutorial about doing write-on text with scratchback.
https://vimeo.com/75501611Hi, the delicious song is not more abailable!!! Where can i get it???? I need help!!!!
Hi Lalo,
This is news to me, but you’re right… the track has been removed from Audiojungle. There’s not much that we authors can do about this. We try to use Audiojungle authors that are established – and Beathebeat is definitely that. I’ll try and get in touch with him tomorrow and see what happened, but I’m afraid I can’t promise anything.

Drop me a line at my profile, lalo. I have found a place where “My Delicious Break” is apparently still available, but I’m not allowed to link it here, because links to competitor sites are not allowed.
Did you have some problems with AE CS6 with Expressions? Thank you.
Hi Luisfer,
No. I’ve tested Delicious in CS6 and all is fine. Are you having problems? If so drop me a line through my profile page and we’ll work out what the problem is.
Can you please show us how you make this awesome extrude text effect with depth scale and bounce. I would really apprentice it.
Hi WeeC,
You purchased the template, so it’s all there for you to see! This type of extrude is fairly easy to build. Or you can use 3D Extruder available from aescripts.com if you want to automate the process.
The animation is just keyframed animation. It takes a while to get a feel for doing it right, but you can easily see how I did it in Delicious, by looking at the keyframes.
I know how you are making the extrude, thats easy. Its just layer stacked on each other. I have looked at your project file and tried to extracted the only part I want (the text that flys up from the bottom right corner). Its going to take me like a couple days to wrap my head around getting that animation built (I want to know how its built). I want to know how to animate the extruded text from 0 to 100, in Z-depth. I hope you know what I am trying to ask for. I know I did purchased this template so could you please help out.
It’s all there to see in the project. It’s done with expressions. But if you want me to explain it to you, drop me a line through my profile page and I’ll explain it to you.
Hi There, I seem to be having an issue which you resolved in the past. You wrote an email to Diego about 5 months back helping him get his audio and the backround graphics to cooperate. Below you will see what you wrote.
Hi Diego, Did you get my email about changing the name of the layer created by converting audio to keyframes to “Audio Amplitude”? If you’ve followed my instructions in there and it’s still not working, drop me another email. I don’t have a Spanish AE CS5 , but I do have a German CS4 . I’ve checked everything in there and both short and long versions are working fine. If there is a specific problem with Spanish AE CS5 , it would be great to know about it. Thanks, -felt.Anyway, I have followed the directions exactly as stated. In the “short” version, I seem to be missing the “Audio Feed” Layer. Please advise. thanks
Hi Robotmouse,
Are you using a non-english version of After Effects? If not, then you shouldn’t see the same problem as Diego. Otherwise it’s simply a question of renaming the layer that is automatically created by After Effects when using Convert Audio to Keyframes.
Drop me a line via my profile page if you’re still having trouble.

Felt Tips helped me resolve my issue. He went above and beyond what any other creator would have done. He even made a separate screen cast just for me, demonstrating how he resolved the problem. Then, when I still needed help, he had me send over my AEP file so he could trouble shoot the issue first hand. Felt Tips is truly a great asset to the VideoHive community!
This review is a long time coming
(bought this over a year ago, but forgot to post my thoughts).
I am 100% satisfied. Prior to this “Delicious” video, I had zero After Effects training. The documentation is very-very easy to follow and will “hand hold you” through the process. If you are worried that you do not know enough After Effect to tinker with this file, do not worry. In fact I might goes as far and say that it is as good as a Beginners After Effects training in itself.
Thanks Felt_tips for the wonderful work. I also bought one of your logo after effect files and loved it as well.
Hi Copperman,
Thanks for the review. I’m really glad to hear that you enjoyed using the file… especially as a newcomer to After Effects (back then)!

@BuddyFX
I pored over Creative Commons sites for a very long time to find a set of images that look good and fit together.
Check out this thread in the forums.

Yo man, where did you cop those stock images from? those are some very iconic figures, I’d love to get those as some place holders.
Can you only place images in the place holders or are you able to place video footage? This template would be perfect if you could put video footage in there. Thanks!
Hi Mando,
Then it’s perfect!
You can easily put video into Delicious. Just import video and drop it into the appropriate comp instead of importing still images.

Hello. First, congratulations, it is a great template. Still, I cant make it work unless i change the language in preferences to english. Still, it works only in the long version, the short one does not. Also, I cant make the background move according to the music. I have checked the video instructions several times and i did all according to them but still not working. I’d appreciate some instructions about this
Thanks very much, keep on doing such a great job!
Diego

Thanks Felt, it is all working now, thanks for the quick reply
Is there a way to use video instead of an image for the image placeholder?
Absolutely… just drop a piece of video in instead of a still.

I got this and I must say its very good and easy to use which is a must for me as I am new to After Effects…..
Good Stuff!!!
Thanks for the feedback, Denbeef.
I’m glad you like it.

I have just downloaded the project files and opened in CS5 . I am receiving the following error messages on opening
“The following layer dependencies are missing: Text layer: Font family: ChunkFive’,Font style:’Regular’ Text Layer: Font family:’MgOpenModata’, Font Style: ‘Regular’
Are these all Open Source fonts or comercial? cheers stefang
Hi Stefan,
Have a look in the help documentation. You’ll find a link to Chunk Five there. You don’t need MGOpenModata, because it’s only used in the Videohive logo (which I guess you’ll be replacing). But it’s also open source. Google it and you’ll find the download.
Best,
Felt.
Is it easy or included a tutorial on how do change out the soundtrack with one of your own? And ofc to sync it up to the video.
There’s a very comprehensive user guide that comes with Delicious, so you can see everything you can do with the project, including full details of how to get Delicious to respond to your music.
You can even preview the help material before you buy, if you like. There’s a link on the item description page to the html help guide and to the video help guide.

I have hundrets of errors like: Warning: Invalid argument: XYZ
I have the German Version of After Effects CS4 . After Effects shows this message (in german): “After Effetcs Warnung: Ungültiges Argument: Der Effekt mit dem Namen ‘Slider Control’ konnte nicht gefunden werden Expression deaktiviert
Fehler in Zeile 1. Komp.: ‘animatic’ Ebene: 1(‘ ‘) Eigenschaft:’Quelltext’ “
Translation English:
After Effetcs Warning: Invalid argument: The effect named ‘Slider Control’ Expression disabled could not be found
Error in line 1 Comp: ‘animatic’ Level: 1 (‘text ‘) Feature: ‘source code
Hi Plaspo,
For expressions at the moment, After Effects needs to be running in English. There are details in my FAQ about how to switch your version of After Effects temporarily over to the english version.
The problem is that all the effects have different names in different languages and this is something you will find with all projects that use expressions.
There is much activity underway at the moment to find a way to make expressions universal.
If you are having further trouble, PM me via my user page. Dann können wir sogar auf deutsch reden.
-f.
Update: I’ve updated Delicious to be universal. It now works with all language versions of After Effects.

Hi felt tips,
first of all. congratulations on the great job with delicious. I have purchased the fx. but I am having trouble downloading it. I have tried it on several pc’s and browsers. but the download always fails before it is completed and it does not allow to be resumed. You can only restart the download from scratch. Help please! on downloading this zip file. Or an alternative solution. Thank you in advance.
Hi Zoomdazzle,
Thanks and sorry to hear you’re having problems downloading. It’ll either be some issue with the Envato site or your connection.
Unfortunately, because of the video user-guide, Delicious is a big download and I don’t have an alternative download version.
As a first point of call, please contact support, they are there to deal with issues like this. If they are not able to provide a solution, then PM me through my user page and I’ll see if I can think of another solution.
Best,
felt.
Amazing work!! Very cool&cute,i like it!!
