Hello Naveed! Thanks for purchasing. Removing the photos is not possible, as the whole thing is a sequence. For more customizable options you might want to check “The Blogbook”, another Template of mine.

Quick question – beautiful work first of all – I usually know my way around editing these templates and when I place a cover art file in the cover comp it doesn’t show up on the book cover. Am I being stupid and missing something obvious?
Hey! Thanks for purchasing. The cover has an embedded effect added through layer styles. If you disable the layer styles you will see your file on top.

-It is. You can add any text just replacing the one provided or if you want to add a picture that covers the whole picture you can as well, simply deactivating ‘embedded’ effect.

Yes. This one. However when you put your cover image there, it will have the same ‘embedding’ effect that the text has, but you can deactivate it. If you have any trouble finding how, message me through my profile and I’ll send instructions.

I’m getting ready to start a Podcast series, and I would really like to use your beautiful, creative video for my episode intro. My Podcast will be about book design, not about traveling, so I will have to customize it for my needs. Before I decide, I have three questions for you, please:
1. Does the license allow me to use it as an intro for Podcast episodes?
2. I pay the monthly Adobe Creative Cloud, and apparently, we don’t have access to the older versions of each software anymore. Meaning, I can install only Adobe After Effects CC (2015). I see your video works up to CC 2014. So, does that mean I can’t use it on CC 2015 yet? Again, this version is the only one I have access on CC.
3. Based on your professional opinion, do you think a newbie can work his way around to customize your video in AE without having to be fully trained? I work in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator every day, so I’m not new to Adobe software. But I have never worked in AE before.

So,
1. Yes! (As long as you don’t sell the Podcast to a distribution channel that will charge for it, but if you plan to, better check with the license guidelines here at Envato).
2. AE CC2015 can open CS6 projects.(http://blogs.adobe.com/aftereffects/2014/01/opening-after-effects-projects-from-previous-versions-and-saving-back-to-previous-versions.html)
3. There is a video tutorial and the template is easy to customize. If you know the Adobe suite, you will intuitively find your way, and if you get stuck ask me or I’m sure a youtube tutorial will solve any doubts!

Thank you, thank you! Extremely helpful! I don’t think I want to sell the Podcast, at least for the time being. On the other hand, I might in the future if it gets successful…ha ha! So, I will check the license guidelines but I’m pretty sure I can always buy a new extended license if I ever decide to sell the Podcast. I will purchase it as soon as I’m ready to start with everything. Waiting for my fabulous professional mic right now….yay! Is it possible to remove any of the pages from the sequence? For some videos I may only need to fill 2 or 3 double pages.
Also, how difficult would it be to slow down the time between page turns?

The book is a stop motion sequence, so think of it as a clip: You could cut in the transition between two pages and make it only two pages long, but there might be a jump in the lighting. To stop Time between page turns is much easier, you just need to freeze the frame in the stop motion sequence for as long as you want.
It does require some basic knowledge of AE.

Just to clarify, when you say to cut in the transition to shorten the number of pages…can this be done using the time remapping or would I need to remove some of the images from the sequence manually and then reload the footage?

You can disregard my previous comment/question as I found an easier way to make the modification I needed.
I used the time remapping to extend the first double-page spread to the duration I needed and then just reversed time/frames to use the book opening sequence also as the book closing sequence. Seems to be working ok so far.
