If i’m using keyed video for the foreground image how do I feather the edges ?

Hi Gustav0,

Could you please send us an e-mail through our profile page here: https://videohive.net/user/juicyhats . We can then get back to you with more detailed information to help you out.

Hi there, is there a link to an updated tutorial even if its just text base? I downloaded V2 and I can’t seem to find the Empty Scene 30 folder. Thanks!

Hey, thank you for your purchase.

There are 3 project files inside the folder. Empty Scene 30 folder is in project DE Generator Preview. DE generator has 15 empty scenes in it, so you can use Scene 1 folder there just as Scene 30 is used in the tutorial. In case you want to use any of the scenes used in preview video as base, you should open project DE Generator Preview V2 and there is 1 empty scene named Scene 30.

Please let us know if you need further help.

I purchased last week and I just noticed that this project is 25FPS based. There doesn’t happen to be a 23.976 version around, or is there an easy way to change the whole project without having to adjust every comp?

Thanks

Hey!

I did a couple of tests to convert frame rate of the output to 23.976 fps and here are some solutions you can try: 1. Drag your final composition into new comp, which frame rate is 23.976 fps and render out – worked OK, I could not see any twitches in pre-rendered 25 fps footage and the final duration of the video remained same. 2. Render out the final comp in 25 fps, then import this footage into the project and interpret footage on project panel as 23.976 fps. Drag then into new comp and render out. This worked beautifully, but the duration of video was longer by 5 frames for 5 seconds.

I would say that if the small duration difference between converting to 23.976 from 25 fps does not bother you, you can pick which way you prefer and use that for conversion.

Just add your audio file in the last composition.

And let me know if you need any further assistance. Regards,

How would you key out the background if you’re using a video as the foreground? as I can’t just use the pen tool for it

Hey Similarlyunique,

Depending on your video footage you might be able to use a mask. If the shapes on the video are moving, usually they do, you would have to track a mask you have drawn using the pen tool. Or you can use different keying techniques for extracting the background. It is definitely possible, and could give great results.

If you need further help, please send us an e-mail to juicyhats@gmail.com, then it’s easier to communicate and we’ll help where we can.

I’ve sent an email regarding my question :)

Hey again, I responded by e-mail.

Excellent work. Very well made. =) GuitarNation

Thank you GuitarNation for your nice comment!!! :)

Thank you abbiecornish! :)

This is super sweet!

Thank you themusemaker!!! ;)

Beautiful music – where is it from?!

Hey, the music is made by fobee, link to his track here: https://audiojungle.net/item/come-home/9626625. It was a great inspiration for us when making this project :)

Quick question. When I open up one of the scenes and want to extend the scene, it seems like the camera movement stops at around 4 seconds… How do I extend that? Where is that option? THanks!

Hey,

You can watch the tutorial for changing duration for camera movement here, it starts at 2:08: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKGHoGAqcdU&index=9&list=PLRmgSQqc0I-vHwrQW9Dh6fBPumppIJ4Gh

Just let us know if you have further questions.

Great work! good luck with this project!

Thank you miko!!! ;)

Шикарная работа!

Thank you Sibiryk fot your nice comment! :)

Very nice work!

Thank you Adil777!!! :)

Presale question: I’m unsure about the license. It says “in a single end product ”. Does that mean I can only produce one video / double exposure for my youtube channel and then have to buy another license for every further video I create with your tool? Would be a bit expensive, wouldn’t it?

And with the extended license would I be allowed to produce a double exposure scene, put that in a video that I create for a client and sell the whole video to him? And would it be possible to create dozens of double exposure videos by using your tool and sell them to many clients?

Hey!

You can check the license details here https://videohive.net/licenses/standard?license=regular and also here https://videohive.net/licenses/faq

The license details are set by Envato as is the price of the template. A single end product is also a video you create for your customer, even if he pays to you. So you don’t need an extended license for making something for a customer.

The final audience is end user, which is not always your customer, for example if he orders a commercial from you then the end users are people who see the commercial and are meant to buy the advertised product.

Regarding your Youtube series – https://videohive.net/licenses/faq#separate-license-q There is question and answer regarding template use in a series, under “What is a single application?”.

Just let me know if you have further questions, we’ll do our best to help you. I can send you screenshots and further information, but could you then send us an e-mail from our profile page, as then it is easier to communicate.

You could also send a question to Envato support, if you still are not sure about the license.

Thanks for the answer. Sadly it looks like your generator is then limited to a one-time-usage. So each time I create a double exposure with your generator I have to buy a new license which totally destroys the intention of a generator for me. :/

Can’t understand why Envato doesn’t see your generator as a “tool” and apply their “tool-license” to it. :(

If you create different double exposure scenes for a series in your Youtube channel, then the next answers should be valid for the case.

Taken from license FAQ page: “Do I need a separate license each time I use an item in a series? No. You only need to purchase the item once per series.

“What constitutes a series (eg TV series, webisodes, or a magazine with monthly editions)?”

To be considered a series, all things in the series (eg episode, edition) must be connected, and be released within 1 year of the first installment. There is also a maximum of 52 episodes or editions within the series.

Example: A 12 episode TV series that starts in December and ends in July would only require a single license. A YouTube series that releases an episode every week (52 total) would only need to purchase a license once every year. A magazine that releases an edition every other month would need to purchase a license once every year.

In case you are making a new end product/video for a separate customer (made to order), then you would need a separate license.

I hope you can still find use for the DE Generator, get to know and try the possibilities what you can make with it.

If we can help you any other way, just let me know.

Eva, JuicyHats

Thank you Rozz!!! :)

Hello Guys, I downloaded the generator, started the first tutorial and there was no “EMPTY SCENE 30” in the compositions folder. Is it an update problem? Are tutorials for older versions?

Thanks guys

Does it work when my FG is a video not photo?

You CAN use also video as FG, but as FG layer must be masked in order to show the FILL in certain parts, then it would need good skills in After Effects.

When you use photo as FG, you create a mask to decide which part to show. Usually it is to extract the background. This mask also defines, where your FILL will be seen.

If you would use video in FG the shapes on the footage are moving, usually, and therefore you would have to track a mask or use keying. It is definitely possible, and can give great results.

So to be clear using video in foreground is not automated, but can be done pretty easily if you know how to track a mask or use keying techniques.

If you need further explanation, just let me know.

Hi. I have a question. I’m trying to follow your tutorial to create a project. On the first Tutorial it says to open Scene 30. I just realized that my Composition folder only has one that goes from Scene 1-15. On you tutorial I can tel one folder goes from 1-29 and the you have another folder with Scene 30, which is the one you use for the tutorial. Am I missing folders? Or I can use any sane to create the project? Thanks. FRC

Awesome to hear you like the project :) If you are happy with the outcome, could you also consider rating the project on your downloads page, I would really appreciate it.

Of course! Thank you so much. Have a great day!

Hey again mottoh, if you like the DE Generator project you have bought, could you rate it on your downloads page? It would mean a lot for us :) It’s totally up to you of course, but we just wanted to give you a recall, in case you would want to rate. Thank you!

I just purchased Double Exposure Generator and the Premade scenes folder is missing, can you help

Great :) If you have any other question, just let us know!

Hi there, I just got your DE Generator and you say Preview Video footage included + over 200 photos and 18 videos included, all licensed CC0, are they royalty free and can I use them for a project im working on?

Hi! Yes, you can use all included footage, photos and videos, also for commercial work freely. We have specifically picked out these CC0 licensed items so it’s possible. You can check out the CC0 license here https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/

Really nice art work! Hope you shell it very well!

Thank you OlmoRomero for your nice comment!!! ;)

Good work, very impressive! I am delighted!

Thank you yuriysheff for your nice comment!!! :)

I have sent you more details and a link to the finished video via Behance. We will really appreciate if you can give us some guidence. Thanks

Hey, I have received the link now and will send you message through skype. Thank you!
