Hi, nice work, i use it for everytime for the wedding, but how can i decrease time of rendering, cause need 12hours to render it. i use CS5 MacOSX, Core2duo 4GB Ram. any suggestion?

How much knowledge would I require?...I can still only use basic functions…
Dazz3, It will be necessary to increase the time of the compositions, adjust the moviments keyframes and adjust the input of each slide to new time. Nothing too extraordinary, but it will not be an automated task, are a series of small adjustments. This to increase time, if the goal is to insert new slides, a task already requires a little more knowledge, because the animation is composed of all the slides, so anyone new to enter, requiring a re-layout.

yesterday morning I bought you project: Slide Showcase, very beautifull. I did everything and after many trials all day long I got the project rendered. I would need to get all project as DV PAL 4 :3 but as I’m newbie After Effects I would like to know if you can help me
Hi albesesa, thanks for having bought my file. For DV PAL , you need duplicate “Slide_Showcase(DV)” precomp. Then, double click in this new composition. Ctrl+K to adjust comp size. Choose you PAL preset, wide or squere pixel. Now select layer and press “S” to adjust scale fit. Now, “Ctrl+M” and ready to render! Pay attetion, if the intetion for 4:3, the sides will be cut ,if for Wide TV, nothing will be lost.

I tried doing as you said and the render time is 42hrs, anyway to reduce this. I even turned off the light. surely it shouldnt be this long for a 1minute 30 video?
Ive downloaded this and did everything as i should have but when i went to render it, it said that there was insufficient RAM available. I have a intel core 2 duo processor, 3gb RAM so it should be fine right? I have even switched off all my other programs to get it to work but still nothing. Anything you can suggest?
Hello truebrightonian, try render with less shadow map resolution. Go to compositions settings ( ctrl+K) / advanced tab , go to “options” them put 250 in the shadow map resolution. If you still can not render, turn your lights off. Best Regards, Yo.

hey, I’m quite interesting with this kind of slides show! I would like to make it for my wedding album. Just wondering: - is that possible to extend the time line to 2 minutes instead of 1.30? - I’m new in Adobe After Effect CS4 , it doesn’t make sense to me how to change all the images and etc… HOW ?

Very strange because i have 4GB OCZ DDR3 Ram and Quad Core proccessor. How can i fix this error?
Hi powerstage, another suggestion, use the “purge all after every XX frames” (try 30 frames) option if it gives you too much trouble. It’s a secret option in the preferences (hold shift when you click preferences). That has helped me on many exports that crashed. If its not work, try render with deth of field option disable in the camera settings. Regards, Yo

Hey powerstage, strange, because the images are linked. If the links had lost the icon of the photos would be a “colorbar”. Try clicking ok and let renderer, I believe it will work. Please let me know about the result. Thanks!

Hi powerstage, thanks for having boutgh my file. Probably the link to the folder of photos has been lost. Inside the Assets / photos select the first picture with the right and click “replace footage / file” or CTRL + H. Relink your photo to the source folder. As the photos are all in the same folder, it will find the other pictures automatically. Regards, Yo
Thanks for the feedback. I have Compressor 3.0.5. Do you recommend any specific setting from this? I tried one of the motion options and it made the file larger not smaller.
This is for quicktime streaming off the web via Amazon S3 (with option to download files)

Hi Andy, the type of codec depends on the purpose of the file. I usually use a quicktime with animation compressor, the loss of quality is imperceptible. I think it is worth testing. Cheers

1 question in regards the file size. I rendered the DV version and it is 1.58Gb. Is this to be expected for a minute thirty animation with audio? I am using this as an opening credit for some video sessions we recorded and the video we have is around 1.4Gb for over an hour of video recorded on a Kodak Zi8 camera.

Hey andygt, thanks for having bouth my file and your 5 stars rating. I really appreciate it. Yes, this size is normal for a quicktime video uncompressed. Probably the video recorded on your Kodak camera, have some type of compression. The file that is set in the render queue is uncompressed but If you need the file smaller. Try render a quicktime with Animation compressor or any other compressor that you want. Best Regards.
Hi, Excellent project! I was wondering if I can slow down the transitions between place holders to make the video longer. I have a song that is about 3:00 min long and would like to use this project for the it. Is it possible?

The file is fully editable, but will need to adjust the timing of a series of small adjustments to the keyframes of the camera and the entrances to the light effect when the slide comes into play. I would like to purchase this but I need a project that is about twice as long. Is it difficult to lengthen this or do you have a longer version available for sell? I have never worked in AE.

..for this project I used my laptop, more modest than the your machine. Core 2 Duo, 3GB. As I said, the problem is not in the capacity of your computer. Is there any incompatibility with your machine. Let me know after the test with the preview window closed. Thanks.
