Hi ! And great work ! How can i get the animations in 25 frames/sec ? When i change the settings in the animations comp, all the body parts spread away ?!?

Hy,
After Effects has a build it “effect” called Time Remap which helps us to turn the character’s body parts. This is what cause the glitch. You can fix it if you animate your scene from start to end and when you are done render it to an uncompressed file format then import it back to After Effects and render it again in 25fps.
If there are any additional issues or further queries, please feel free to ask. Thanks!

hi i have a problem when i create my own animation . when i extend the time of the composition the body parts disappear and i can’t stretch it specially the head_status .. and i need make the comp 3 minutes . any one can help

Hy,
You can extend the main composition to 900frame. If you want to work with longer scene you need to extend the compositions in multiple times. I can create a tutorial if you need, but only on the weekend, I’m really busy right now, sorry.
But there is an easier way if it’s an option for you: extend the main composition to 900 frame, then duplicate it (as I show you in the videotutorial) and drag the last frame to zero then continue the animation from it.
If it’s impossible for your animation and you need the tutorial please send me a message via my profile page. Please use the account with which you buy Rigmo to verify your purchase. Thank you for your understanding.

thank you you are awesome

The person speaking in the tutorials should learn to pronounce the world “duplicate” correctly. He keeps saying “DOPLICATE”. It’s infuriating.

Hy, thank you for your feedback, and sorry for the inconvenience. We will record it again and fix it. Thanks!

Hy. bro, nice work but I need to know can I apply this Mockup on another different character , or shall i use your pack designed characters ONLY ? Or finde me a solution to apply that work on an Arab character with Arabian clothes :)

Hy,
thank you for your kind words!
With Rigmo you can animate your own designed character, but it’s recommended to use for characters with the similar clothes or proportion as the included characters. If you thinking about this kind of clothes: Reference Photo
unfortunately i need to say Rigmo is not the best way to animate a character in Arabian clothes. The legs and the Keffiyeh would be the most problematic parts.

Is it possible to change clothes via sliders and time remap?

Hy,
unfortunately there is no feature like this in Rigmo.
I tested it and there is a solution to change the clothes, but we need to hack it a little bit to achive the goal. For example we can duplicate the body parts and change the opacity of this duplicated parts to turn them off and on.
If you can add me more detail about your plan I can help you.

When i use my custom First Character replace to Jenny’s Character and edited the position of any body part to be great proportion, It’s perfect

But If i have my custom Second Character and want to use the same position of body part that i edited like my first character, How can i do?

I do not want to Replace my second Character to Bob or Steve, cause it make me to edit the new position and it won’t be like position body part of my first Character

Thank,

Hy,
so do you want to use two rigged character in one scene right?
Unfortunately you can only merge or import AEP files which include the rig only.
The AEP files which include the 40 character animations are not mergeable. If you want to import one of the included animations into an another character’s AEP file first you need to render it (to mov, avi, etc. ) then import this video file into the another AEP file.

Thanks for creating this great set of rigs! A question though: In your description, it’s mentioned that this is compatible with AE CS5.5. I tend to stick with downgraded versions of AE since the later ones are buggy on my machine, but when I open one of the rig projects, an error reads:

After Effects error: The file you are attempting to open was created with After Effects version 11.0 (Windows 64) and cannot be opened with this version.

The project opens fine in AE CS6 though. Was there any way you could get these rigs to work in CS5.5, like in the description?

Hy,
sorry for the late response, christmas is all around. :)
I’m really sorry, you are right. The files only support from After Effects CS6. I can export the files if you need, or can you use them with CS6? Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi there, Merry Xmas! Thanks for the response.

AE CS6 was still kind of buggy on my machine sometimes, but CS5.5 was working perfectly. Would it be possible for you to export in a CS5.5 compatible version?

I’ve tried exporting via the OpenSesame plugin, but the rigs don’t translate perfectly after reimporting to AE CS5.5

Hy,
thank you for your patience.
Please send me a message via my profile page and i will send you a google drive invitation where you can download the converted files. In the message please add your mail address.
Thanks

Will it work with CC 2017?

Hy
unfortunately not tested yet, but it should be.
Rigmo is work with After Effects from version CS6 so i think it will work with CC 2017 too.

Hello. What if my character has a long dress or skirt? How it will work?

Hy,
thank you for your interest, unfortunately the long dress or a skirt can be very problematic. A very short skirt is Ok, but if it is longer it won’t follow the bending of the legs. A dress or a skirt needs custom animation as the character animating. Rigmo doesn’t have feature like this, sorry.
If there are any additional issues or further queries, please feel free to ask.

Thanks! How short the skirt must be?

Unfortunately, mini skirt is the only which will work properly, like Jenny’s, who is in the pack:

Hello. What if my character has a long dress or skirt? How it will work?

Hy,
Sorry for the late response, answer below.

Hi. Thank you for creating this amazing plugin. However, we are experiencing some issue with manipulating those body parts with Rigmo. We have one body element which is much bigger than the composition it’s nested in. When we try to edit the comp and make it bigger, but then other body parts are being pushed away or rotated. Is there a way to change the size of the compositions, so the body parts wuld fit in, without messing the entire rig? Thank you.

Hy, thanks for the purchase.
It’s hard to say how to fix it, I need to see your project files to give you an exact solution. If it’s not problem could you please send me the project files (the PSD and the AEP file)? You can upload them to a cloud service like dropbox or google drive and send me a download link via my profile page. Thanks!

The problem is that we have created a spaceman character which is wearing some sort of a space suit with a bulb or helmet on his head. The aim is to place the helmet within the “body states Bob” composition. When we do that it turns out the body and the helmet parts are bigger than the composition. Making the composition bigger doesn’t solve the problem (other body parts are being pushed away or rotated). What could we do to fix it? Below is a link to workfile. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1V4yQ8uCioqSGxjTVVFQjNSaGs/view?usp=sharing

Okay, I can see the problem now. Thank you for share it (but please delete it from this drive folder, don’t let others to download your character)
What if you scale the character in Photoshop to ~60%. If the body is 60% it will fit in the composition. If it’s okay for you don’t forget to scale all the body parts. Just select all layers and scale. He is high resolution enough to scale down I think, but i don’t know what is the goal with him (Tv, banner, web, etc.).
The second advice: okay, the body is too large with the helmet, what if the helmet is in an another composition, which is linked to the body? I don’t know how expert you are with After Effects, but it is also a good way to achieve the goal. I can help you with this if you need.
If you need more help our you have further questions feel free to ask via my profile page. Thanks!

Thank you! :)

I need some supprot. My character is now working properly. Where can I send you an email with more details?

Hy, you can send me a detailed message via my profile page.
If you can upload your project files (the PSD and the AEP file) to a cloud service it would be also a huge help. Thanks

In the way your video shows you add expressions for face and hands, I assume you can add extra expressions onto the character such as a hat for example? One which can be animate separately but still a part of the character? Could you add a new expression for mouth shapes for example? Thanks

Hy, you can add 9 eye and mouth expressions for your character. If you need more, we need to working on it a little bit, but we can add more.
You can add a hat for your character, for example he also has a hat:

Hi, When I try to import my custom character, everything is going fine until I try to move different body parts into its places (with Head_pos, Neck_pos, etc.), but when I re-position them, they begin to cut off (going out of your composition boundaries). Our character’s proportions are very different than yours, and it seems like the compositions are too small for our character to fit in. I tried to edit the size of those comps but then other body parts that are connected to them began to distort or rotate. What am I doing wrong?

I can send you the project if you want. Thanks.

Hy, it’s hard to say what is wrong without seeing your project files. If you can please send me your project files and i will see how can we fix the problem. Thanks!

you can send me mail via my profile page

Anyway I can get a template of the first part with the character being crushed by the letters?

Hy, sorry but i don’t get it. How i can help?

Hi, How can I bring more than one character into the same scene? When I import another characters Animation AE project, it seems to cause a lot of issues and doesn’t work. I want to have multiple characters in a scene for example.

Thanks

Hy,
you you can use to characters in one scene but you can only merge or import AEP files which include the rig only. The AEP files which include the 40 character animations are not mergeable. Hey, how can we switch the z-order if layers? For example, I want the body to be in front of the arms. Thanks!

Hy, if you want the body to be in front of the arms, you need to reorder the body layers in After Effects. (There are two Body layers)
Click shy layers icon and select the layers you want to be in front then move it in the layers list:

In this example I reorder the head and neck elements.
If you have further questions feel free to ask.

Gotcha! Thanks mate

Hi ! I have a problem with facial expression. My eye and mouth state are blocked in a certain position. Even by deleting the keyframe nothing happen. Any solutions ?

Thank you very much

Gaël

Hy Gaël,
if you want to animate or positioning the eyes just click on the head icon then in the effect panel you can change the “Right_Eye” or “Left_Eye” properties or with the “Eyes_Together” you can animate both at same time.

Is this what you were looking for? If you need more help please feel free to ask.
