Hello. I’m afraid I can’t answer your question because I don’t know your laptop options and what rendering settings you need. Or probably I misunderstood your question.

Hey no problem, sorry for any confusion and thank you for getting back to me.

I have been looking at various options for my project and some of the items have contained info in their description along the lines of “Rendering takes about 1-1.5 hours per 1 min of video on an average laptop (tested on Core i7-3630QM, 8GB RAM, Win 8, AE CS6 with multiprocessing)” which were fine when I was rendering previews of my work between 3 and 10 minutes long, however my current project will be visualizing 60 minutes of music so I have been hunting for a more minimalistic look in the hopes that rendering times would be quicker.

Could you give me a ball-park figure of how long your visualizations would take to render using the spec above at 720p? Thanks again.

I think 1 minute of video will take about 10 minutes of rendering if you choose QuickTime format, but it’s rough figure.
