Hi, This looks amazing. It says that its really easy to use and that theres heaps of documentation. I am an absolute amateur, have been making films with iMovie, and just starting to learn Adobe Premier Pro, but picking it up pretty quick with tutorials. do you think its possible to use photomotion and its tutorials to learn AE? I’m savvy and a fast learner, but have zero experience with animation or modelling.

Thanks guys. Great fast responses. Support sounds awesome. I just need to get over the fear of commitment as i’m still on the free trial of PP and AE! haha

cheers.

Also, this might be an AE thing, but what are the options for end product file types? i.e. Are they always exported as video files? Or is there a way to keep image quality but reduce file size?

You ultimately want a video output – you can achieve the same image quality by using proper codec and less compression (photo-jpeg is okay for this kind of work)

What is the preferred image size for this effect?

Hi Jalowery,

more than 1920×1080px. If you need anything else, just let me know :)

Best, Denis

Left a review but thought I’d put my comments here too which may answer some questions from people:

I’m fairly new to After Effects and I was a little hesitant spending this kind of money on something I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to edit as I don’t have much skill yet.

After the purchase I signed up for an account on Intenity and there I found the most detailed amazing quick tutorials on how to create my own Photo Motion photos.

I followed along and had my first one looking great in around 30 minutes (first 3 videos are between 6 and 8 minutes each).

I can’t say enough about how good these tutorials are. He even explains what to do if you don’t see a certain tool on the screen (Which happened to me!). He explains everything you could possibly need to know in such a short amount of time that my mind was blown.

No matter your skill level at after effects, you’ll be able to do this.

What a great comment ActionAuger, glad you love PhotoMotion!

Regards, Tom

Thank you

Is there anyway to make the length of the video? somewhere to 3-4 min? i tried to change the comp settings but all elements don’t go that far

Hi, I just posted a reply to your question on our helpdesk forum.

Regards, Tom

Just bought it and watched all of the tutorials. Excellent. Everything is clearly explained. Very excited to start using.

Glad you like them!

Is there a reason you have deleted the preview video you advertised on Youtube around a month ago? It would be good to see some screencasts of how you edit in AE and how complex that is to create the effects in the demo video.

The video you are talking about was uploaded by someone else, not us, so we have no control over it. But as I said in the previous two posts, we are putting together an interactive preview showing many features. But as there is a high demand for the pre-purchase video, we will shoot something quickly over the next few days to give you guys an idea how it works!

That would be great, just a rough screenshot view of some of the techniques will be enough to convert.

Fantastic! Also bookmarked and can’t wait to see the “teaser” feature you are talking about!

Wow, i literally had goosebumps! Bookmarked for future buy!

Haha, glad you like it hogash!

Must admit it would be good to be able to see a getting started tutorial so you could know just how easy/difficult it is to get going with this..

We are working on something very similar, but it will give you a chance to actually experience some parts of PhotoMotion before upgrading to full version!

Regards, Tom

Is there anyway to use what you created for your preview and just change text and images??? That would be wicked.

Is there a template for the preview video without all sounds and images (removing copyright images)? Just place holders etc so I can replace your stuff with my stuff?

Unfortunately there isn’t (it was made from scratch), but we might convert it to AE template in the future.

That would be wicked and worth buying. Cheers.

Amazing product! Needed help and got an email right away to help me, wow. Support & customer service is just as amazing, which is hard to find today. Thanks again Tom for your help.

Glad to help :)

Are there freelancers here that would want to do a project? This is amazing!

Yes, those tutorials are targeted on users who purchased PhotoMotion, but no worry – We are working on something better than just a video preview – it will be fully interactive experience for people considering getting PhotoMotion, that’s all I can say for now :)

Back to the freelancing options- do you have anyone that has your product that would want to do a project for me?

Some day, all software will have the capability to work remotely versus having it on the desktop. :)

But for now, it would still be good for a pre- sales POV, to see the over-the-shoulder look of its capabilities.

This would also build in the bigger picture in the viewers mind and open them up to the possibilities…...it might even inspire non-AE folks to become regular users!

We are quite busy ATM (working on a new update for PhotoMotion), so unfortunately nobody from our team is taking freelance work onboard.

I’m sure you will like what we came up with – it combines pre-sales POV with actually experiencing the product :)

This is an outstanding tool, It looks so alive!, Congratulations :-)

Really glad you like it :)

Simply Amazing! Incredible work guys!!!

Thanks buddy!

Where do I find all the tutorials for photomotion? Thank you.

We have a dedicated support forum where you can also find all video and written tutorials : http://help.integnity.com

Do I need any plugins for this project?

Nope, all you need is included, so all you need is After Effects :)

Fantastic! Perfect for my mac blog http://www.maccanismi.it!

Seems like a perfect match :)

Whaaaaaat the Freak, this looks IN$ANE!!! Holy flippin’ #NextLevel! uh I have a bit of experience with AE but haven’t used for a while, so you say 1 image finished 2 mins?? and these are all created from a single jpg?? So they render out as pm4/mov files I assume, n just curious if you can convert to Gifs also?

Absolutely! You can easily create gifs as well (think of 3d memes, they look super cool :) ). In terms of difficulty, it depends on complexity of your image, but you can easily convert a single jpeg to animated mov for example, within 2 mins (as soon as you get some experience with the product). We have A LOT of tutorials included, so you should be okay even if you haven used AE in a while.

Regards, Tom
