Heh, yeah I am not the biggest user of flare. I see it is very popular on the Hive and I have seen some instances where it is used to great effect!
I am sure in later projects I will add some flare but for now I am going to keep playing with typography and shapes and leave the gloss to the pros.

^^ Maybe you are right… but do you have an idea where I am able to switch my german language into english? It’s CS5 for Mac … all tutorials give me only hints for windows or older versions…

Please could you help me to use it in a correct way?
I am working on a Mac and by opening your file I get a lot or errors!? Mainly the colors are not correct….My “german” error message is as followed:
After Effects Warnung: Ungültiges Argument: Der Effekt mit dem Namen “Fill” konnte nicht gefunden werden Expression deaktiviert
Fehler in Zeile 1. Komp.:’About me…’ Ebene: 7 (‘025_LOGO + EMAIL ’) Eigenschaft: ‘Farbe’
It means something like a deactivation of your effect called “Fill” due to a missing color…

If that is the only warning about the fill effect then you can just ignore that. There is a fill effect on those layers but I have actually turned it off.
If you have a logo that includes colour then you will not want to use the fill effect. If however you do then it is there to apply. Or, if you are having an issue with the language of AE then just locate those layers, delete the effect and apply using the colour that you want your logo to be.
