Hi! I’m sorry, but this template is not for FCPX. In the project description it says that is for After Effects. I wish I could help you.

Hi Sean! Unfortunately this is After Effects project file, not a Final Cut. From AE you can export it as a video file, with alpha channel, and import it to Final Cut. (Tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rTH6clghLE).
