Organic Vegetable Garden (Stock Footage)

The current agriculture is a major source of water pollution, soil and air due to wrong practices, such as unregulated use of certain chemicals. In organic farming are only used practices that do not adversely affect the environment. They are not used pesticides or synthetic herbicides and fertilizers used are natural, from the composting of organic waste. Other cultural practices are essential in organic farming, such as maintaining the diversity of cultures, the selection of crops adapted to the conditions of the region, crop rotation and consociations. For organic farming soil health is considered critical to the health of plants, and living beings are considered precious aids in combating pests and diseases. Finally, organic farming is part of a sustainable development because it takes into account the quality of life for present and future generations in this house called Earth. Guimarães, Portugal
