NOW…how about a series of these fireball shots from several angles. 1) Approaching and passing, 2) Flying past us downrange (the impression of vast distances would be important) and 3) flying overhead in a large arch (as if the observer’s head is tracking it).

This would make a great (not to mention highly useful) set of FX.
