Why am I getting a red screen in FCPX

Final Cut Pro X needs to be updated to version 10.2.2 for the titles to work. You will need to update FCPX by locating it in the app store.

Can I make titles last longer or shorter.

Yes you simply need to drag the titles out in your timeline in order to extend or shorten the amount of time on screen.

Can I change colors, font, text size, load my own logos?

I can’t find the motion templates folder in my movies folder

You can install the titles using the Final Cut Pro X location.

Go to applications and find Final Cut Pro. Right click on the app and click show package contents. From there go to this location: Contents/PlugIns/MediaProviders/MotionEffect.fxp/Contents/Resources/Templates/Titles

Paste the folder containing the titles into this folder and Final Cut should update to include your titles automatically.
