Does the plugin create the caption based on audio or do we have to manually add captions

Hi. You have to do it manually. It’s just faster than the default tool that comes with Premiere. Listen to the dialog in real time and mark the starting point where the line is being said. You have to watch your video only once and add the captions.

Hi i just bought your software for my team and it just brings in 2 lines text after they export and import on the timeline

Okay..i will do tomorrow..we close for the day

How should I send it.

Thank you! Send a PM on my profile page: https://videohive.net/user/accountable-videos Then we can use the mail, to attach the file. Again thank you for your time

Hi, I saved my markers as a srt file. however, When I’m trying to import the srt file to premiere, I get A Low-level exception occurred in: Captions error. Why is this happening?

the program does not correctly export in korean, it’s converted to special characters. I would like to request for a full refund.

Hi, follow this link for the refund: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821460-Can-I-Get-A-Refund-

Can you send me the text you’re using, so I can test it. Thank you

I’m having an issue on mac on the latest version of premiere where the plugin won’t extend the comment length unless I move the mouse off of the plus button. Doesn’t look like this is how it works in the tutorial video. Let me know if there’s a fix for this.

Hi, yes it’s a bug, it shouldn’t behave like that. I tried but I couldn’t reproduce the bug on my machine. Maybe a skype call? Please send a message through my profile page so we can use email. Thank you

Hi, found the problem and fixed it. Please re-download the project from your account. First uninstall the old one. Sorry for the inconvenience. For any question just let me know. Thank you.

Awesome, that did the trick. Sorry, things have been really busy at my job so I wasn’t able to get back to you. Glad you were able to get it fixed!

I have the same problem as veggie_89. Is there a solution already?

By the way, what operating system are you using and what is the After Effects version? Thank you.

MacOs: 10.15.7 Prem: 14.5.0 AE: 17.5.0

Developer has updated the extension and fixed the issue. It’s working perfect now! Thank you for the very quick fix! Awesome!

Okay, just set timing on an entire video, then accidentally clicked “Get .SRT” button. This instantly went through and deleted all the comments I had just set before I could export SRT. I can’t undo. Really annoying it doesn’t warn you first. (Delete markers button also can’t be undone and should probably offer a dialogue box before wiping.)

If it is based on word count, it would be nice to have a mode that would just extend the marker all the way till the next one for cases like mine where people aren’t talking/singing at the standard speed.

Yes, it’s using the word count to set the end. I changed it, it should end when the next starts. Probably I’m gonna add a max duration field or something like that. Please redownload.

The second part, move the mouse out to set the marker end. It needs to be the last marker. In the video I saw that there was another marker after, to the right. If it is between other markers you need to click or you can set the end manually by holding down the Alt key and drag the marker. Let me know if this makes sense.

Okay got it, thanks for the update and the info!

Question: are we able to adjust the opacity of the caption box? I see the color may be adjusted. Looking to purchase yet need the ability to make the caption box partially opaque. Thank you.

Thank you. One other question on this project: may we then simply output the captioning as an .SCC file from the Premiere timeline? And/or embed the .SCC file with in the video? We already exported .SRT file for this project and now need the .SCC file format as well. First time use – so pardon us with this question and appreciate the feedback.

Hi, the extension exports only .SRT format but you can easily convert the .SRT file into .SCC. A quick search on google and you find many free online converters. Here is one: https://gotranscript.com/subtitle-converter . Three step process: upload file, choose format and save.

If you want to embed the subtitles into the video (i mean, burn into the video), then you don’t need the .SCC file. You can use the .SRT file that you have, import it back into Premiere (as any other file) and drag it to the timeline, on top of your video.

I should mention one more step before you do the import. Inside Premiere go into the Caption Panel and at the bottom there is the “Import Settings” button. Click it. Inside the “Import Settings” panel under the “Video Settings“ choose from the “Standard” dropdown menu: “Open Caption”. Click ok. Now, you can import back in the .SRT file. If the caption doesn’t show in the Preview Panel, press on the wrench icon (is somewhere in the Preview Panel down to the right) and go to “Closed Captions Display” and “Enable”. Hope this make sense, if you have questions let me know.

Many thanks from my team and I for the reply.

I get that installation failed because extension is not compatible. I am updated on creative cloud. What should I do?

Can you try installing without using the ZXP installer utility?

Here is how:

1 First change the file extension from .zxp to .zip

From: Easy_Captions_for_Premiere_Pro.zxp

To: Easy_Captions_for_Premiere_Pro.zip

2 Unzip the file.

You should get a folder: Easy_Captions_for_Premiere_Pro

3 Copy the folder and paste it here:

Win: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions

Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions

4 Restart Premiere and go to Window/ Extension

If you need any help we can make a skype call.

Thanks for the great software! However, when I try to use it in Japanese, it gets garbled and doesn’t apply correctly to Premiere. Specifically, when exporting to .srt files, the text is garbled. Is it possible to support Japanese?

I’ve uploaded the garbled .srt file, a screen capture of the display on Premiere, and a group of files describing my production environment below. it will be gone in 30 days. If you have time, please check it out. https://35.gigafile.nu/0505-ca3818b3897d7c9594f217432004769db

Thank you for the details. Please send me a message through my profile page so i can send you files. Thank you

Is this working with Premiere 2021 or 2020?

Hi, yes it does work but I’m not updating it any more. I’m currently working on another project similar to this but better. It’s gonna be out in a couple of weeks. If you’re still interested I can give you a notice when it’s ready.

Ok, let me know when it is ready to check how it works
