Hello, great product. I am wondering how can I change the solid black color that is in the background to a photo/video. everytime that I do it some element disappear, even if the photo is added to the last layer of the comp. pls advice… ty!

Thanks for your purchase.
I’m sorry to say, but the project was never really intended for the panels to be replaced with images or video. However, the panels are created using masks on solid layers, so it’s certainly possible to edit them if you wish, even though there will be a bit of work involved:
- Place your image/video in a 1920×1080 comp.
- Import that composition into the lower thirds comp that you’re working with.
- Inside of the main lower third comp, make sure the “Hide Shy Layers” toggle is off.
- Copy the mask from the “MAIN PANEL” layer onto your newly created image/video comp.
- Turn off the visibility of the “MAIN PANEL” layer.
- Set the Parent of the new image/video comp to the “MAIN PANEL Edge” comp, so that the motion is parented to that layer.

I tried opening up the tutorial video. Didn’t work. Enabled flash, but all I see is your header footer and a white screen where the video is suppose to play.

It’s very simple, and works the same was as importing other media such as audio, images, video, etc.
With the project open, just go to “File > Import” and select the .aep file to import it. Or use Command+I on your keyboard.

Good morning, I’ve had a very easy time editing the files in After Effects – Great Template!
I’m struggling because, even with Alpha Channels selected in the rendering options, I am getting a black background when I pull it into Premiere. I see where the black or white box is on the flowchart but cannot figure out how to delete or turn off that background.
Any ideas?

hi I’m pretty new to after effects but have managed to get everything the way i want it. super easy actually. great template. 1 querie though how do i get the thirds to animate OUT as when it renders in animates in and stays there until video time is complete, do i need to animate out myself or am i missing something, thanks

Thank you for the reply. I’v downlaoded the template, and it seems that I cant include the video or picture right in the CTA Lower third
Thanks for your purchase. In the comp that contains the editable text is where you would remove the text and/or add the pictures that you want to insert.
the picture wont get the animation. it just stood in it place.
Ah, I see what the issue is:
1. Place the picture on the 2nd layer, right under the “MASK” layer.
2. Once it’s in the timeline, set the “TrkMat” setting to “Alpha Matte MASK”. That will cause the image to be masked out by the “MASK” layer.

That’s great.. it worked perfectly for the image. the video though, doesn’t play.. sorry I’m a newbie in AE. So ..
I think I figured it out. I’ve created a new comp and put the video there then drag that comp into the lower third.

I’m just having some trouble resizing the whole lower third to fit into my big pictures so it could be visible to the viewer. I mean resizing both panel edge R and panel edge L and main panel and both masks to fit the pictures big size. or any size I would need in the future.
P.S : I just love the way this template was made easy to customize and the rendering is just stunning.
I think a figure it out “again” lol just the transform tool and the the anchor text did the job quit good. scratch those question then. It would be beautiful if the lower third collapse back instead of fading out.

Hi, I just rendered out the lower third to a .MOV file. When I placed it on my timeline on top of my video, the lower third video is not transparent. It still showing up on a black background like it is on its own video clip. Help!

Great file, thanx! For those looking for an ‘out’ animation just copy the in keyframes to the end of your animation and reverse them…. worked for me

How can i change the start position of your lower third? example the “2-line Lower Third” show from right to the left…

The quickest way would be to flip the horizontal scaling of the main animation composition to -100%. Keep in mind that when doing so, you’ll also have to flip the horizontal scaling to -100% for the logo and text as well.

Hi i bought this project today…. is really easy to edit!
I have a simple question, i need use this lower third project more than 10 times in another project, i need just create each lower third using you project, compile in a .mov file and after import this mov files in my final project (another project) or have a simple way to just import you project to my final project and edit the text on after effects without importing nothing?
I try export 1 lower third to .mov file and import to my final project but it come with a black screen on background (dont know how to make it transparent) sorry for my bad english!
