This After Effects template is specifically designed to create simple 3D pie charts (and donut charts) without 3rd party plugins, using only a single composition . In other words, there are no pre-comps. You open the project, there’s one single composition, and that’s it.

What’s so special about that?

If you only need 1 pie chart, then not much. But the real magic happens when you need lots of pie charts. Because there are no pre-comps to worry about, all you need to do to create another pie chart is duplicate the original composition. That’s it. If you need to create 20 pie charts, just duplicate the comp 20 times. No messing around with pre-comps, no need to import the original project into a new project, no need to use fancy scripts. Because everything is in one composition and ONLY one composition, your project will remain clean and simple no matter how many pie charts you have to create.

With that out of the way, let’s go through what this template can do:

• Create traditional pie charts, or donut charts, with up to 16 segments.
• Enter your data as either percentages or raw values.
• Control size, thickness, position, rotation, colour and transparency.
• Automatically generate colour swatches and keys to match the graph, move & position them as required.

This project works with AE CS 5.5 upwards, using the classic AE renderer.
