Like everything about the template so far, just looking for a way to slow down the zoom. Want to be able to double or even triple the time the actual zoom takes; possible?
Hi… Yes, this is possible. You can do this from the “Settings during zoom in / out” step. You can set the desired time by setting the Zoom Timer feature. This value is the number of frames.
Using the SMART CUSTOMIZE comp, there is no setting for that. I see: “Hide Clouds”, “Zoom Clouds Opacity”, Clouds Clutter”, “Zoom Clouds Rotate Speed”, Zoom Clouds Blur”, “Shake”, “Shake Freq”, “Zoom Motion Blur”, “Zoom Optics Lense Effect”. I must be missing something obvious
Sorry, my mistake. Edit the “Zoom In Timer” feature from the “Zoom Point Settings” step. Open Smart Customize composition. Select “Zoom Point Settings” layer and open Effet Controls panel.
Accordingly, scroll the “Point 1” and “Final” markers in the Final Main composition.

If you want to use your own API key. Must have Map API property. And under “Menu / API and Services / Library” menu option, “Geocoding API, Maps JavaScript API, Maps Static API, Places API” should be activated. There should be no url restrictions on the Api key.
Hello, I do not understand how to download the maps with the API key. I’ve tried everything.. even tried getting my own API key.. but it just keeps saying error and nothing will load. I’m stuck and very frustrated. please help! thank you.

Hi and thanks for the response. I would prefer not to use my own key, since it’s something I don’t know much about. I tried using the key you included, and every variation of it, but it still gives me the same error message every time- “invalid api key”. Even if I just try to load a map using the link to your browser generator, I am not allowed access.. it just says, “an error has been detected and repaired in the ‘Tools apiKey apiKey.js’ file”
Hi… Paste your API key between the quotation marks in the apiKey.js file, if you want to manual add.
I suggest you do this with Script. Script will detect and fix it if you’ve done something wrong when you manually edit the apiKey.js file.
If you email me your API key, I’ll check if it works correctly.

I’ve detected a faulty API switch arrangement.
The apiKey.js file must look like this… myApiKeyManuel = ””;
or apiKey.js must look like this if you want to use your own API key. myApiKeyManuel = “AIzaSyA9urqLlT83irkCvzgHeiIwQchnGgU3vIB”;
I recommend adding your API key by using the “LmX Map Generator” script panel.

Hi. I updated the template a few days ago. I also changed the default API key. You can use your own Map API key if you want.

Hi, awesome project! Is there a possibility to make the transition from the earth zoom (“before zoom”) to the actual map zoom more fluid if you have the earth spin before the map zoom? I want the earth to just fit in the picture and rotate very slowly for a few seconds while slowly zooming in on it just a little. Then smoothly but very fast accelerate the zoom and zoom in on the target like the actual “map zoom” does.
As of now the “before zoom” animation of the earth is eased in and out and comes to a full stop before the map zoom starts. Playing around with the offsets, “Zoom Start” marker and “start zoom timer” does not help. If i try to overlap the “Zoom Start” marker with the “start zoom timer” i get a little rotation jiggle at the frame the map zoom starts.
Is there a way to not have the “before zoom” animation ease out and stop before the map zoom? If there isn’t is there a way to make the map zoom start more smoothly/eased in more?

To do this,- Put your drone video into the element addition composition.
- Slide the zoom out time of the video to the map zoom out time. (
- Match the video with the map using the Zoom Level and Zoom Rotation features.(You can use script panel)
