Thnx… Usually I would drop that transition clip above the cut or dissolve between 2 footage clips placed on any beneath layer(s)... For the black transparency of that transition clip in Edius may be applied Luminancekey… or Blend > Overlay… etc… while I’m not sure what kind of a special transitional effect you’re exactly trying to get… Could be something pretty different…
