Hi Beer – tried to email you before, but just keep getting mail errors. Do you have an alternative email address?
Hi Drudoran, I toiled through my learning curve; found your file to be simple to understand, easy to execute, and fun to work on. The composition was straight forward and I have been able to edit the file successfully. Anyway, I export the file as a QuickTime file; then change to an flv giving a finished file size of approximately 36 megs. Is this procedure correct? Sould I have just exported/rendered directly as an flv? Then what are the correct settings? Rendering takes about 3 hours on 4Gb Ram. You deserve a 5 star rating. I would rate twice if I could. Thanks Beer, glad you got sorted.
The finished filesize will always be determined by your output size and compression settings.
As a general rule, I tend to render a master Quicktime movie with animation codec at about 90% quality and at full resolution. This can end up being a couple of Gb. Then I use this master and export and scale it down to whatever size my final file will be, using Quicktime Pro. If it’s going to be used on the web, I’ll convert this resized quicktime file into an FLV using Adobe Video Encoder.
You can render an FLV directly from After Effects, but I tend to do them in batches, so I stick them all through Adobe Video Encoder overnight.
This looks awesome! Can I make it 4:3 ratio like 1024×768? I’m not very savy with all the output settings for projection.

awesome work!
Is just me or the audio is not fully sincronized with video (with the waveform). After exporting it I had to cut first 12 seconds of music.
Beside that… Great animation. I’m using it for a promo of the local festivities.
drudoran,
Love the composition, however, I have a question. How can I shorten the timeline…I only need 8 of the placeholders and then for it to go to the logo…is this possible…please let me know as soon as you can!
Thanks again,
Jackson
WOW ! Great file! Soundtrack is perfect too!
Cheers!

What a great free file! Thank you
hi nice job
i can upload this file in you tube??
thank you
I am new to AE and this is my first project.
2 questions.
1. I replaced the pictures with video, but I do not know how to slow the timeline down to have they video play more than around 10+ seconds. How do I tell the camera to stay on it longer?
2. Is there a way to fade down the background music while the video is playing, than fade the audio back up as the camera tracks to the next object? I’ve spent Hours Googling with no success.
Using AE CS5 – project “The Line”
Thank you in advance for your response.
