In the preview video the smoke gets cut off on top, but this is doesn’t happen in the .mov with alpha channel you can download.

I just downloaded this file, and it’s JUST the alpha channel with no smoke movie in it, just hard-edged white and black…? (I know, I know, what did I expect for 2 bucks) Not particularly useful for masking smoke, if I had a smoke movie to use it with, because smoke is soft-edged, and this is hard-edged, but maybe if I took it into After Effects, I could do something with it. If I’m missing something here, please let me know, but that’s what I’m seeing in Quicktime. Thanks!

No no wait a minute :

In quicktime it will show the black/white alpha channels but when you import it in flash and use it as an FLV (have a look at the included example) it has the real steam look you are looking for. If necesarry i can also send you the after effects source file. Maybe you would like to use it for a non-flash project?

Could you also send me a copy of it in an after effects source file please?
