Statistics Theme Pack 1

From my understanding if it works in CS3 , it will work in all future versions of AE. I can confirm that it works in CS3 , CS4, and CS5 . I don’t see how CS5 .5 would be any different.

Nope. Both are standalone products, but use the same components. The only difference are the included themes.

Are u using a theme or component?

Does the bar chart suddenly cutout or does it keep zooming in until its gone? If its the first you need to drag the layers longer. If its the 2nd there is a camera zoom option on one of the layers. Change that to 0.

Okay, I think I know what you’re talking about.

All the comps’ maximum time is 20 seconds. These graphs were designed for presentations between 10 – 20 seconds. But no worries, you can easily extend it to whatever length you want.

What you will have to do is extend every comp that you are using to 7 minutes, or whatever your length is, and then extend the layers inside the timeline longer. Just point your mouse to the end of the layers (those colored rectangles in the timeline) and then drag out the ends of them.

You need to do that for every comp that you are using. Not just the main comp, but every comp inside the main comp too. In this case, you need to go inside the component comp itself and change it to 7 minutes and extend the layers.

It’s a bit confusing to explain in words, but hopefully that made sense. If it didn’t, just shoot me an email through my profile and I’ll send you some screenshots.

Hit the shy guy layer.. The one that I circled in the email. That will open up all the layers and should fix your problem. Just extend those other layers too.

Just try not to reorder those hidden layers or edit the expressions. Quite crucial for it to work.

Both Statistics and Statistics Theme Pack 1 have the same components in them. The difference between them are just in the themes. More specifically, the colors, animations, and layouts are different.

If you are experienced in AE, you could get one of them, learn it, and be able to make the other. But if you’re not too experienced, then both offer a different theme library to choose from as a starting point.

Unfortunately Statistics doesn’t work with more than 12 points by default. If you want more than 12, you would have to combine more than 1 Line Graph component. So, the 1st line graph would be for values 1 to 12, the 2nd line graph would be for 13-24.

There is a way to copy/paste/duplicate layers to get to your 50 points, but it’s pretty detailed to explain. If it can work the way I described above, it would be much simpler.

Hi, thanks for purchasing. Im not infront of a comp right now so im not sure exactly what you mean. Try hitting the shy switch (the switch near the motion blur that looks like a guy peeping over a wall). That will unhide any hidden layers. If thats not it, can you tell me which composition you are using and i will look into it when i get to the studio in a few hours.

On second read, you may be talking about the vignette layer. Im not sure, but im pretty sure ive used a vignette in most comps. You will need to locate the vignette layer and scale it up to match the comp size or turn it off altogether.

Hi, there is a way to do that but it’s a bit tricky to explain.

First, click on the Statistics layer with the value fields. If you look at the Effect Controls tab, there is a lock icon, click on that icon to lock this tab. Then, go to the compositions where your text fields are and expand them by clicking on the arrow next to the text layer. Look for the parameter “Source Text”, alt+click on the stopwatch icon next to it, then drag the pick whip (that twirly icon) to select the Value field that is in your Effect Controls tab. This will make the source text always show the value fields.

I’m not quite understanding what you mean by softly bounce. You can actually view my animation inside the template. Just open one of the themes, click on any layer you want to view the animation of and hit the ‘U’ key on your keyboard. This will show all the keyframes I’ve used to make the animation.

If you want to bring the component into the themes, you might as well just modify the existing component inside the theme already. The components are included for starting from scratch.

Alpha channel is basically to preserve transparency in your movie. I’m not exactly sure why you would need this for this project, but if you need to show transparency, you can render with an alpha channel.

What I meant by “bounce” is how the animation starts and ends, such as using bezier curves…which now I see that you are in the “Themes” project.

But in the “Components” project, the keyframe interpolation is linear, while in the “Themes” project, the interpolation is set to “bezier”.

It’s good to know that I only need to use the “Themes” project.

The bar graph by default doesn’t have negative values. What you can do however is use two separate components, one for positive values and one for negative values. For the negative, just flip the component upside down.

To add more graphs than the 12 bar graphs, you’d need to use multiple components next to each other.
