Hi Daniel…

Missed your question before! Yes. I used Cycore for this if I remember rightly.

Is there a way to get a complete transparent item? It’s partially transparent but I’m combining it in a banner and the cloudy back is making the blue background a little lighter than the rest of the banner.

Hi Gymrat,

The cloudy background part obviously has an alpha too, which is why you are seeing the lighter clouds.

If you are working in After Effects, you could use a levels effect to control the alpha gamma. If you turn the alpha gamma down, the clouds will disappear. However, you may also notice the edges of the stars become a little harder.

There will most likely be an equivalent effect in most software packages that use footage with alpha channels.
