Hi Taz, you will need after effects to change things. this one uses after effects cs4.

and it’s just a matter of dropping in new items and typing the texts

yes, there is no fixed images used, you can change the color of everything, even the spectru, itself

For some reason my audio file isn’t showing the wave form. Does it have to be .wav or can it be an mp3 or aif?

no, it doesn’t have to be wav, mp3 will work too, not sure about aiff files.

all you need to do is to select the form layer, and point the “audio react” layer to use your audio file.

if you drop your audio file to the precomp, it should show up immidiately.

if you drop the audio file to the main comp, then you’ll need to do the pointing.

I believe I got it. Could you please tell me how to change the res for the whole comp down to 720p? When I go back and do it I usually change the composition settings for each comp, then resize everything. Is there an easier way? My footage was shot in 24p, standard def. Thanks in advance

if you have good hardware, just render the master as is( at half pixel so it will become 960X540), then resize when you are doing the final compression.

but if not, there is no other way than resizing the comp one by one

awesome, thank you. I went ahead and rendered the master at half pixel like you suggested then saved it in quicktime at the res i wanted. much easier that way!!

one question though, when i exported it, the colors seem far less vibrant after i imported them into final cut pro. im scratching my head on that one as I have no idea why its sooo dark. some of the text under the footage is even dark. any idea?

Is there something I’m missing that I need to enable. I usually do my audio outside of AE, and can’t figure out why the reactive stuff isn’t working for me. I dropped it in the right spot but nothing is showing up.

you need to choose the audio track. but actually it’s supposed to do that if you dropped your audio into the audio comp (and not by itself in the main timeline)
