Hey I love the file…edited the text, went to export is as a .mov to play on a MAC and it was pixilated…any ideas to fix that…Im using CS3 and 1280×720 file format…

VERY well done! This is a great project – I plugged in several video clips with short sound bytes, looks GREAT . Easy to edit, well organized, and renders pretty quickly on my dual core MB pro!

Hi Sharky,
We just sent you an email. Hopefully you get it. The Metal Texture Image gives us problems with the memory. We are using an Intel based PC with Windows XP, CS4 . We tried removing the layer but it makes the Promo look awful. Can you please help/advise? Thank you.

It’s possibly a memory issue. Make sure you got at least 2 gig ram.
Alternatively if that doesn’t work, you can open the metal image in photoshop and size it down slightly. That should free up some memory.
Also make sure your AE has the latest updates. That seems to be the killer with most people.
Another thing you want to try is go to After Effects > Preferences > Memory and Cache And Clean Database & Cache down the bottom.

Sorry I am totally beginner and I watch guide but.. but when I open it in AE CS5 it’s like if footage files are missing (I see smoke with strong green and shocking pink colour) and when I render it says that 270 footage files required are missing. Let me know Thank you

I get the following message when I try and open it.
“This project contains 7 references to missing effects. Please install the following effects to restore these references. (“CC Particle World”)”
I thought this did not require any plugins as per the description. I am using CS5

Those plugins should be included with After Effects. Please reinstall After Effects and all its related elements.

Hi.
Check to make sure your render settings is on Lossless and is on Best Settings and not Current Settings. That’s the most obvious solution I can think of.
Other solution but most unlikely is if you applied some pixellating effect on an adjustment layer. Anyway, just want to rule that out too.
If that doesn’t work email me a screenie of your render and render settings.
