This is truly an exceptional buy – This is one of those must have files for your library – this is so useful in so many ways – in a word… superb! – x

In giving it some thought, here’s what I found especially good about this project:

a) the depth of field, lighting, use of shadows—the “3d” space b) energy and variety of embedded comps, many different things to use c) it’s unique! not another boring slideshow type ae project, it’s genuinely different from any others out there, and well conceived

This is a super example of “how to do an AE project right” because of the innovation, design excellence and use of color in a unique way. As with his other projects, this one demonstrates a super use of 3d space, very professional. Light years beyond a lot of the flat one-dimensional ae projects … well done.

Hi Amr

The coloured circles and coloured vertical columns are simply graphic files (JPGs) which are included in the zip file – you could easily change this to a cinema strip if it’s just a static image file. If you wanted the coloured circles to contain movie clips, it’s be more complex, but certainly possible if you know After Effects.

With regard to rendering times…..

- I have a poorly specified pc (AMD dual core/4gb/winxp). - Used the resize composition script to reduce to 1280×720 - Rendering at half quality (for inclusion in a web flash gallery) - AE estimates 6.5 hurs for completion!

If this is not normal perhaps you have some suggestions to improve rendering?

Still like the template – just caught surprise by the rendering times…...

Hi DMkNorth, yeah that’s pretty normal for complex sequences, though should only take a couple of hrs max with fast mac/pc – I could have pre-rendered some scenes but then you’d have a huge filesize to download and you wouldn’t have as much flexibility to change elements.

if you want to get render times down, then you could turn off any lights, shadows and camera depth of field, but it won’t look as good. I tend to render complex scenes overnight.

looks really good, one question and here’s where i am coming from….I am thinking football team…..I am thinking 20 images…..I am thinking club colours….....I am thinking too much!!!!! for a non graphics pro. OR IS it easy to do!!!................this is the question.

can i use this projet on ae cs4?

Keysar: You could render the movie as quicktime, and then import it directly and embed it into a flash timeline, then save as swf. It would be a pretty big file, but then it depends on how big you render the movie.

Tom: It’s easy to customize the existing image placeholders, it’s more complex to add more images, but perfectly possible by duplicating compositions and adding them to the main composition if you have after effects experience.

Gibranchavez: Will work fine in CS3 or CS4 .

Hi there, I really like your work and have purchased this template. Changing the placeholder photos and text was really easy but I am struggling to render/export to AVI (or indeed any format).

Hi, I’m a newbie and just bought your amazing project file! I’m having a problem though. I’m using cs3. I’ve gone a head and changed the images in the “Your custom Assets file. I did this by right clicking and then clicking on set proxy file. When I play it back on the time line I could see the images, but when I try to render it out as a .mov file I could see as it renders that the pics are not there, instead there are the original color bar stills. I know I’m doing something wrong but not sure what. HELP !!!! Thank you.
