Nice iDea….
Nice iDea….
Great, I like it a lot. New approach, new usage, new project type. Wish you all the best.
Very useful! Thanks!
Please make more like this—not necessarily falling cards, but just a photo along side of a text box for stats. I didn’t find this until a couple of days after our BB season finished. I’ll have to wait until next season to use it, but it’s perfect for our needs.
What happened to the rest of the layers in the BG layers. Please let me know. I would like to customize. Thanks
Nevermind. I found the source file, “light_rings_still.tga” in the project folder and just changed the blend mode.
To setup a whole team you said to “duplicate the card_right comp” but you did not duplicate the card_right comp. You duplicated the card_fall_headshot comp. Also you never showed how to change the team picture with the stats.
Nevermind…. I see you hit the shy switch to hide the comp I was looking to edit. I found it.
Is there a way to turn off the reflection on the picture side as well as a red square-ish shape that appears center of the photo? My only complaints about that, but over all a great project.
Hit the shy switch (little guy with nose sticking over the table) to reveal, unlock and turn off the reflection layer. I’m not sure where the red-squarish shape is that you refer to. I have the project open and i don’t see one – can you give any more info on that one?
thanks for buying cardfall!
I am having a couple issues, other than that this is great. As above, the issue is with the Reflection layer. With this on I have a color vertical bars down my player card picture. When I turn this layer off, then it disappears. Not sure what the reflection layer does, or if I need it. Also both the included backgrounds have the same vertical color bars in the background. I have the Solid Black selected, but its not solid black, those dang color bars. Thanks.
Never mind, found the issue. It had to do with .mov file, I did not have quicktime installed and the .dll file. Once installed everything looks great.
If I want to use it for many players, how can I modify the card without affecting other previous compositions?
Hello! I apologize for not including that in the tutorial, here’s an updated walk-thru:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/s9r5no6c4blw6cv/cardfall_tutorial.movit’s much higher quality if you download it using the link on the top right – it’s only about 50mb in size and it’s HD resolution. Let me know if you have any more questions after watching.
Thanks!
Ray
Thank you for the answer. Problem solved.
