Hello,

I won’t post a link to this but I really need some help with this issue.

An individual has posted my Videohive template on Youtube claiming that it is his. Not only that but within the item description is a link to where anyone can download the ae file for free. This video has been viewed more than 100’000 times and god only knows how many times the file has been downloaded for free.

I submitted a number of requests to Youtube to take it down and the only reply I got (on more than one occasion) was that not enough info was supplied.

I also sent in a couple of requests to the envato support team. My tickets have now been closed but the video is still there and the link is still present.

Any advice/assistance would be greatly appreciated.

J

Did you send to youtube the videohive link too? Say them that this work is not for free. I did it once and they removed it.

Yes I did, I sent in everything including links to the work on my site and my Youtube Channel.

Who exactly did you send it to?

There is an option to add more information about the video that you want to be removed: http://www.youtube.com/copyright_complaint_form. Send them the link from the marketplace, not your site. It s more official.

I’v done all this. I sent links to the videohive item page, the link to which the youtube author is providing my files for free. I filled in that form you sent me just there.

I am at a loss, I was hoping the Envato support team would have sorted this out as it is technically their property too that is being stolen but I have had two support tickets on the matter ignored.

why dont you fill a complaint at the sharing site where the file is being uploaded. They will remove the file

I have done that this morning.

I suppose what has shocked/annoyed me most is the Envato support staff closing my two tickets I sent in on the issue without doing anything. I say annoyed because it’s annoying, and shocked because they normally do such a sterling job in resolving these sorts of issues.

Surely cases like this should be dealt with as swiftly as possible else more and more individuals will start offering free Envato files in exchange for more likes/subscribers on Youtube (which is exactly what this person is doing).

You informed envato and they close the support ticket with no answer?

They ignored you?
