I managed to get my first theme up on TF and after being on the homepage for around 20 hours it’s not shifted a single sale. Sweated blood over this, hope I get a couple of sales over the weekend! Got big plans to expand the theme and make a WP version (which seem to sell better), and need this little confidence boost to spur me on. Can anybody empathize?
Sometimes people hold off a few days before purchasing also summertime sales tend to drop a bit for some of us. Hopefully it starts selling soon good luck!
thanks! I think a contributing factor may be that I have no history as a seller here and my website is still under construction. all of which I’m working on
- Author had a Free File of the Month
- Sold between 250 000 and 1 000 000 dollars
- Interviewed on the Envato Notes blog
- Author had a File in an Envato Bundle

- Bought between 10 and 49 items

Yeah it just takes a bit of time, also Wordpress sells way better then just HTML so I would proceed with WP version asap:). Pretty unique theme btw I like it.
Don’t worry, it is a nice work and will sell in time.
Wish you the best

Yes, people bookmark it and when they need it they buy it.
Also a factor could be that today is Friday and sales tend to slow down in the weekend.

Yes, you will know for sure if it’s a hit after two months.
...or start plan B and work on the other concepts you had in mind.
To me it seems a little blocky;
The stock images used aren’t that appealing – other authors prefer to buy better stuff than the one given by envato and that changes a lot the feeling of a template.
The Components page may need a better presentation.
I don’t see content pages to demo a larger variety of content grids. Most of them looking unfinished.
And no portfolio page is a BIG NO !
Not sure but I think there were better templates that were rejected for fewer reasons than I listed here. At least in my opinion.

+1, this was my feeling to when I saw the template, is more like a free template, sorry to say, but if you give it for free, you’ll not get to many downloads.
For your next template, be more creative, add something new, work more with the menu, add a nice footer, and more space between the elements very important, and so on.
I don’t know why, but the new authors can upload what ever they want, and guess what, in almost all case, are approved in the market, this is more for “Site Templates” category.

BTW , the “About” submenu does not work on Chrome. I discovered that because I wanted to see if there are rendering differences for that Droid Sans font in different browsers – does not look quite right to me; has some sort of jagginess at that size…
