I think Joost has a pretty good chance of becoming a mod now
Not to moan but if mods are posting publicly their support of a certain member, should it not be fair all nominations are public?
(I also don’t agree mods should be detailing and publicizing their favourites)

Hi Thecodingdude, if my post/image gave the impression that I was publicly favoring a certain applicant over the others, I apologize. I often enjoy interacting with marketplace authors through images, based on the topic at hand.
In this case, I read consecutive messages, saying, Joost would be a great moderator, Joost this, Joost that, so of course it was only a matter of time before I thought, hey, “Joost Do It”. Since it was the perfect timing and context, I did a fun piece to get the concept across, and posted in the thread. All in good and harmless fun.
If Joost was mentioned by other authors/moderators, I’m sure they meant no unfair favoritism nor disrespect towards anyone else. You can rest assured that the staff’s criteria when choosing the new mod(s), will undeniably have the community’s best interest in mind, thus being transparent, fair, and honorably justifiable.

Sure. I wasn’t directing it at you (in fact, your image was quite clever and quite funny).
Anyway’s, thanks for clearing that up

Mods are volunteers and therefore have earned the communities respect by putting in free time to make the community awesome. And since they are also probably reading every thread, I would say they are the best people possible to make a recommendation for another mod.
