I have a problem. With IE6 – suprise I know.

I have used Unit PNGFix for this, but it display that little red icon and nasty borders around the transparent png image.
PNG is added to the html with img scr tag.
You can preview the site from here: Black Market.
So what I can do to fix this problem,
it drives me crazy and I’m so close to throw my laptop from the balcony.
Thanks and god bless me.

kuimu have you uploaded the clear.gif image? It’s a transparent 1×1 px gif image.
Yes I uploaded it and I don’t know why it doesn’t work.
I have moved the clear.gif from images folder to javascript folder, but without result.
I hope the path starts from javascript folder right?
Now I have the image in the same folder as the unitpngfix.js and the path is simply to clear.gif.

I have it always inside the images folder, try putting it inside the images folder too, “images/clear.gif” and see what happens.

I think there’s an easier way to fix transparent PNG issues that hasn’t really caught on much yet (unless there’s something I don’t know).
Save your transparent PNG as a PNG8 with alpha transparency from within Fireworks. IE6 will view the PNG with transparency without the need for a hack.

Oh yeah, I should also mention that not only will you not need to hack IE6 to use transparency with PNG8 but the file size will actually be smaller than PNG24 as well.
YES , it works now! I’m not sure what I did, but hell yeah it does work.
@xmdsys – Have to remember PNG8 at next time, now I’m just stoked that this works and I might get some sleep at some point. It’s 8 am.

The clear.gif is in the right folder, I checked.
Maybe you’ve changed the directory in the is file?
