I have been watching ThemeForest and the other Evato marketplaces for sometime with a view to selling on them.

I have some questions about doing this from the UK and the tax implications however.

I am a LTD company in the UK – does anyone else do this? What taxes do you collect e.g. Sales Tax etc?

Here, in the U.S., we would just download the CVS of our sales and report them as income, if you want to.

If you are operating as a business, you should list the income if it’s worth it in your situation.

Of course you should check with your own Tax Consultant.

it’s no different to anything else.

at the end of the year you add it all up and declare it and they’ll tell you how much tax you have to pay…

I don’t pay any tax, you should also do the same. Nobody is looking for me, I don’t report to anybody. It’s my money, my work is not to be shared with any government.

Why? In most cases is all about open source or commercial open source, not necessarily taxable by nature. Big non-profit organizations make money called funds and not taxable. Why should you deliberately give your money to others? You think you have any advantage? Think again..

See what happens if you pay?

They won’t, I am sure. Anyway I am moving to China in a couple of days so they have more money to spend to find me, so much that they will think it’s not worth it. Again, they didn’t come so far and they won’t. There is no law to say the tax is mandatory, they only say it is required for the government to work but it’s not mandatory. 100% verified information.

You know what you pay for? For Prince William’s wedding, about 50 MILLION POUNDS out of YOUR POCKETS . Why not for you to have such good life?

hehe – ok. So I have spoken my accountant, really the question is about doing business overseas and whether I needed to collect VAT / Sales Tax – he has satisfied me that I need only worry about the income that I recieve – and pay the appropriate UK Corporation Tax / Dividend Tax when draw on those cash reserves.
