Hi. I’ve a friend (illustrator) that still works on flash4 for making some of his works. He said that he have tried newer versions and he doesn’t like the way paint tools works (i can’t understand why he don’t just change his methods, but well, this is not the question of this thread).

Point is, he has always work on XP machines. No he needs to buy another laptop, W7.
I’ve googled for compatibility on that system, but couldn’t find anything reliable.
By chance, someone here has installed Flash4 (NOT CS4 ) on W7?

Thanks in advance! ;)

It’s not compatible with W7 i think; no way it will work with 64 bit.

Now back to the second half of R.M , I cross my fingers and hope they will lose :P .

How come you don’t watch the game? You live there… you are a weirdo bro`

Flash 4? Wtf? :P

Sadly I don’t have it installed, and there does not seem to be a free trial download available anywhere (quite expectable, I’d say). Perhaps your best bet is to hope that someone still has the software lying around and is willing to try and install it, although I don’t have much hope (as Tsafi said, the 64bit version is definitely not going to float). The thing is, Flash 4 was from before Activeden (FlashDen), right? ;)

You sure it’s not easier for him to get used to some modern-day technology? There’s much to love as well in the latest versions!

Thanks guys. Yeah, i’ve tried to convince this friend to upgrade to any new illustration software, no success. He is really hard-minded (and spanish! :) ). I think i’ll end up trying an install of an old version, to see what happens. I was trying to avoid this, hope it does not make any problem with my current IDE version, mostly while removing it.

@Tsafinho. The match were given on payed cable. And most important, i was expecting that result… :(

^R.M payed cable? What’s that Spanish Inquisition dark edge time`s ? Shocking we get it free here ,well not exactly it’s not like PP you just need the basic cable and you have almost all the Spanish league main games ,man.. With the Spanish bad economy i guess there is no consideration, truly sad to hear that. But i guess you are not a true fan any way cos` in a few click you can find your way easily over the internet :P .

Any way i am in Adobe conference next week ill sees if I can find from someone illustration in Spanish i guess it’s a hard find, but it’s really a basic mistake not working with the English Adobe family software if you really want to be on the cutting edge
