Hey everyone, I’m somewhat new here on codecanyon and just digging intro the world of plugins and themes and what not. Things have been going great but i was wondering if anyone has some good suggestions on where to advertise Wordpress plugins. I know there’s the obvious route of Google Ads and Facebook (both of which I’m open to feedback on), but I’m also wondering if you’ve had luck with any other resource, whether through pay-per-click ads or any other method.
Definitely looking forward to any thoughts or experiences in this regard.
Thanks!
Josh
I don’t make plugins, but I can suggest using twitter along with facebook like you said. If you get a targeted following of developers it may be good
Another route is buysellads, adpacks, etc. There you can pick specific sites related to wordpress, plugins, coding, and so on, so it is VERY targeted
.
Just a few tips
- Repeatedly Helped protect Envato Marketplaces against copyright violations
- Sold between 100 000 and 250 000 dollars
- Exclusive Author
- Author was Featured
- Item was Featured
- Beta Tester
- Has been a member for 3-4 years
- Spain
Year ago i used several times http://buysellads.com service for my ActiveDen items. I received more referals than sales (i guess, as there is no tool to completely verify a sale), enough to even make worth the money invested, so i would suggest to try it out, maybe first on some cheap locations, of course.
- Attended a Community Meetup
- Author was Featured
- Bought between 50 and 99 items
- Exclusive Author
- Has been a member for 3-4 years
- Item was Featured
- Most Wanted Bounty Winner
- Referred between 500 and 999 users
Twitter is your best friend. I have been doing advertising to BuySellAds as well, but I really don’t know how well it’s done, since it’s difficult to track actual conversions.
Awesome, thanks everyone. Good stuff.
