hi,
Did anybody had same situation?
I submitted video tutorial about 10 days ago and still pending, 2nd out of 4 in the queue, sent a ticket to envato, but no response…
I wonder if it takes that long only for video tutorials?
thanks,
fm

11 days waiting and after so long waiting I get a short email saying that I need to specify the changes in my tutorial (it was an new version of an existing one).
So back to the waiting.
Another issue is I upload the tutorial again and again but looks like it doesn’t work (I don’t get the message where you see your position).
I’m trying to update my tutorial for more than a month… and still nothing.
I send a ticket a couple of days ago… let’s see what happens, but to be honest this is very frustrating.

If you wait over a week, send Support a ticket, saying they need to get the finger out and start approving stuff
But yeah, it’s silly, they are having a sale to promote Tuts+ Marketplace, but it still takes weeks to get something approved (whereas GraphicRiver is usually 1-3 days).
There is a lack of reviewers for the Tuts+ marketplace as that not as many items come through this market like if you were submitting for Codecanyon or Themeforest.
I believe there is only one reviewer and you must take into consideration how much time it takes to review a tutorial. You must follow every step and make sure it works. Even if the tutorial is more then one hour long.

That makes sense, and if that one reviewer is not familiar with the software it will probably take even longer time to approve that tutorial… oh boy…

There’s more than one reviewer
My items have been reviewed by different people over time
Also, think of it like this: they would need to just review 1 item a day to fix the waiting.
Got a response from envato, saying they are working on it and will try to review my tutorial soon, its been 15 days since I submitted it, if its gonna take another 15 days with no review, then I will just submit this tutorial somewhere for free…

Hey everyone, the Tuts+ Marketplace has a relatively different setup as far as the review staff is concerned. On our other marketplaces we have review staff that work frequently, many of which are full-time. Whereas most of the Tuts+ Marketplace reviewers are Tuts+ editors or writers full-time. When items come through the queue, we let the appropriate reviewer know, but there’s a little more delay than the other marketplaces.
However, there still shouldn’t be as much delay as there has been. This is something I’m working on.
Also, a couple of the categories have had reviewer changes so that’s added to the delay for some submissions.
If you’re experiencing unusually long delays or any other issues, please feel free to contact me via my profile page and I’ll look into it right away. Thanks!
jremick – I totally understand, I was just confused because my items at 3docean took as quickly as 2 days to review, and suddenly on tuts there is such a long delay (17 days!), quiet a big difference, I hope in the future it will be a bit faster, like a week at least.
