Hello to all Videohivers, I need your opinion about what should you do next if you were in my position. Last week I finally finished my new project, and few days ago I got rejection notice:
“This File Did Not Meet Our Criteria
Animation wise, this project seems to be very similar to what you’re already offering in Face Timeline 1. It might be better to update Face Timeline 1 with these new features and resubmit the item, requesting an increase in price for that project”
.
So I contacted reviewer and explained with this:
It was made from ground up because “Face Timeline” was made in 720p and I made sequel in 1080p… “Face Timeline” was made as it is, one possible version with 20 “posts”. Sequel have 20 pre-made versions (versions with 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27 and 30 posts in Facebook Profile Page style, and 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27 and 30 posts in Facebook Pages style). Next, it’s totally different structure than “Face Timeline” and it would be almost impossible for me to recreate structure of this project in original file. On argument about animations – there is not many possible options for animating a camera around placeholder for image on “post”. And lastly, it holds “2” in name with reason. It’s a sequel and it should have similar style.
I got this reply:
The file wasn’t rejected due to it not being suitable for sale, rather it is very similar to a project you’re currently selling, which is something we try to disallow.
So now, I don’t know what to do because I can’t let this item fail as it took so many time to make and it’s my most complex item, and also I wouldn’t like to delete “Face Timeline” as it sells well and it’s roughly 75% of my earnings, and for a student, those earnings are well needed. Should I ask for another reviewer, as all my previous items were reviewed by another person, or should I really take that least wanted action of deleting (or updating) “Face Timeline”?
Here are both items so tell me are they really that similar?
“Face Timeline” and “Face Timeline 2”

It’s hard to say who is right here…. On one hand, I understand you as an VH author, on the other hand I understand reviewer, because projects really looks similar to each other…

hmm, maybe it will be better to create mini bundle with 2 projects inside ? And set the price for example 30-35$...

Thanks for your opinion. Would that be approved? And, do I upload it as new item and ask reviewer to remove original item if that new item is approved?
