Selling customized After Effects project files

I’m fairly new to this. If I download an After Effects project file and customize for a friend/client, can I resell it? If so, what license do I need to buy?

Yes you can, but more precise:
You can charge for your time spent for customization, and final product for your client is final video (render).

From thread subject looks like you’re asking for selling customized (edited) project files, but from post looks like you’re thinking on selling final product – video files.
You can’t resell after effects projects.

What license you need – it depends how final video will be used.
